A classic sneaker is given even more retro appeal with vintage-worn Reebok stripes on the sides. Reebok was founded for one of the best reasons possible: athletes wanted to run faster. So in the 1890s, Joseph William Foster made some of the first known running shoes with spikes in them. By 1895, he was in business making shoes by hand for top runners; and before long his fledgling company, J.W. Foster and Sons, developed an international clientele of distinguished athletes.

great shoe!
My son bought these shoes while in high school and loved them. He was still wearing them although they now have holes in the top and the soles are worn down. He is very happy that Reebok is still making the shoe and couldn't wait to buy them again in the same color. He even wore them to his cousin's wedding reception.
