Nekteck 45W 2-Port USB-C Car Charger, PD 3.0 & QC 3.0 Fast Charging

Charger is well built, very sturdy, and charges my Pixel 3 as fast as I could ever ask for. The included cable is also high quality. I've been using this charger and cable for 11 months now and have not had the slightest problem with either of them. The standard USB port works perfectly for charging other items at the same time, and as far as I can tell using the second port has no affect on the speed at which my Pixel 3 charges. The charger does have a blue LED light to indicate that it has power. I like the way they designed this, as the opening for the LED is VERY small, only letting a little bit of light out. Other chargers I've used in the past either have no indicator at all, or are so ridiculously bright that they end up being very distracting when driving at night. Not this one, I've got nothing but good things to say about it!

I buy a lot of Anker stuff, but Nekteck has put out a lot of quality stuff lately. They are getting good reviews by the people that know what they are talking about in regards to safety and certification for USB-C stuff, and the items I have picked up have been good quality and worked well. This car charger is no exception. It gives me a way to fast charge my phone, iPad, or Nintendo Switch, and a good charge for a laptop. It won't fast charge a big laptop, but it will charge it while off or help keep it from draining the battery as fast while using. This is really handy either to charge my laptop while I'm driving so it's ready when I get somewhere, or to be able to keep it running longer when I'm a passenger on a road trip.

Not sure how many stars to give or not give. The unit chronically backs out just enough for the end to loose contact. I’ll plug in a device, drive off, get to my destination and realize it was not charging. The device works great when it is making contact, but I have to have the console open, chronically futzing with the device. Previous USB-B charger never had an issue. Vehicle is a 2011 RAM truck, which we have had since new Update: NekTeck customer services reached out to me to offer a refund or replacement after seeing this review. In short - A replacement was sent, and we can see in the photo that the tip of my original one is jammed and locked in place. Unclear at this point if that happened before or after I received the original. Thank you!

Wow! Nekteck support responded to my email within 20 minutes! In the evening! That's unheard of and something to remark about. In my camper, I use the USB-C output of the Nekteck to charge my Jackery Power Bar AC Outlet Portable Laptop Charger, Jackery PowerBar 77Wh/20800mAh 85W (100W Max.) Travel Laptop Power Bank & External Battery Pack for MacBook, HP, Thinkpad, Notebook and other Laptops that I also bought on Amazon. The Nekteck charger works great. I purchased it for the 45W charging through the USB-C port. That works very well, full power, as does the Quick Charge port. My concern is with the blue power indicator. The power indicator is very hard to see, except for a very narrow angle, less than 5 degrees. I thought the light source should be closer to the hole in the case so you could see from any angle that the power is ON. You can see from the Nekteck support response below that some people complain about power lights that are too bright. I can safely say for them that no one will complain about the light on this charger. Bought two of these so my wife and I could both have one in the car. I chose it based on the recommendation as a fast car charger from Wirecutter. It comes with a usb c to usb c cable which doesn’t work for iPhone - so make sure to get a cable if you need it. 3/16/24 update. I still have these in both vehicles and have purchased some replacements since originally buying. All of the units seem to suffer from the same problem after using for a while - when your first plug your phone in it starts to charge for about 3 seconds and then the unit stops charging. If you unplug and reconnect it you can eventually get it to charge. Sometimes on as little as one or two tries, but too often this can take several minutes of retrying. Very frustrating. 5/4/2024 update - going back to 5 stars. I recently purchased a cleaning kit with all sorts of different tools for cleaning phones, digging lint out of charge ports, cleaning ear buds, and even the contacts of charge cords. After cleaning out my phone port (which charges just fine everywhere else) and cleaning the contacts on my cords - the car charger works perfectly. Not sure why it was more sensitive than other chargers but it works great with the cleaned out ports and cord contacts.

I have gone through so many in car chargers for my phone and have repeatedly got annoyed when my phone battery still dies, and then i was on some forums and directed to this! This is the first charger i have come across where i can use my Pixel 2 as a sat-nav and still charge my phone! The socket is of good quality and looks nice, the cable looks of good quality but overtime has now failed. Not to worry though as you can just use your own cable instead! This charge is well worth the money, especially if you are always using your phone as a sat-nav.

Très bon produit. Recharge rapide pour les appareils en standard. Il recharge très bien un téléphone (oneplus 5t), un iPad pro et un Dell XPS 13. Il n'est pas gros du tout. Rien a redire.

Lo importante es que cuando voy en el coche me carga enseguida el movil. Es Samsung Galaxy Note 10 plus 5G y necesito que cargue enseguida, ya que el dispositivo tiene carga rápida.

Great product for charging multiple devices, has 2 USB output, used it to charge my phone and laptop while driving. Fast charging speed. Its light weighted and fits well in my car and charges very fast. Very convenient to have in the car. Very happy with the product. Bought 2 car charges before, this one definitely stand out from the rest. Will recommend to friends and colleges.
