Very pleased with this tumbler, I am a beginner at tumbling and rock collecting for the most part, i love the easiness of set up and instructions, comes with multiple pendants/jewelry for making them. Also comes with 2 each pack of grits for each stage. May take about a month but I am so pleased with this item! The sound quality is very great as well, very quiet in my opinion, can’t hear it in the room against the garage either and it’s right against that wall! You really only hear it if you’re RIGHT out in the garage. For people who don’t mind a little noise it’s a great clicking noise I’m sure some people could even fall asleep to lol, it’s that quiet! The rubber really helps, the manual is super simple and has every single step especially for a beginner! I got the brushless edition because they are supposed to last longer and have better results I read online! Comes with extra belts, pendants, rock grits, 1lb of rocks (it was 15.4oz so just about a lb a little under but that is besides the point, they are very nice size as well. I love the size of the tumbler as well, it’s very cute. The durability seems great as well and it’s super simple, no mess ups! The speed adjusts as well, but follow the manual for best options on starting! It is very educational as well considering the manual is pretty dummy proof, perfect for beginners or even professionals! Functionality so far is great as well, will keep updated if anything changes. I read they have great customer service as well, so I’m very pleased!

We have made so many shiny rocks with our Tumbler since we purchased it. Gives hiking new energy to find rocks on the trail and such. When the motor had issues, the company was quick to respond and help get us up and running again. Nice to see customer service step up again. The motor failed within just a few months of use. I contacted customer service, the response was timely and they were able to ship out a new motor within just a weeks time frame. Exactly what a person expects when they make a purchase. I will definitely purchase from this company again.

Update: the company reached out to me on their own initiative, advised they had had a batch of bad motors that have all since been pulled out of the stock, and sent me a full replacement of one of my two units that had died. I have been running it 3 weeks so far with no issues. They made the process very easy and positive. Everything about this product seems truly great, especially for the low cost, until you try to actually run it for more than a month or two. I bought two of these, I liked them so much, and I have never filled the tanks over the weight capacity, but both motors died out within the first two months of use. It seems as though the motor simply isn’t designed to handled a tumbler load where the water level is much more than 1/2 full once rocks and media are added. And the drum is pretty small so you really aren’t able to tumble much with this guy, which is frustrating considering it takes a full month to get through all 4 cycles. It was exciting at first but then truly disappointing when it died out within the first few months. Both did. Only buy this if you intend to use it very lightly. I’m really bummed they couldn’t make the motor handle the overall design.

After tumbling for a few days, I checked my rocks, reset, and continued. I noticed the motor was cutting on and off and running rough. After a short time, I smelled something burning. I unplugged unit and felt the side of unit. It was warm so I left it unplugged. The next day I checked the unit and I couldn't slide it over. The heat was coming from motor side of unit the day before and got hot enough to melt the bottom of unit and almost caught my 3/4" thick workbench on fire. I had to pry it loose. It did extensive damage to my workbench and I reported it to seller with pictures but no response. Totally ignored me. I contacted Amazon with same picture proof and they replaced the item and had me send back the damaged unit. No sorry's, no help to repair fire damage to my shop and no follow up. Now the new replacement unit is working but very loud and squeeking. It has already gone thru 1 belt and on the only replacement. I will bet this unit won't last thru the 4bsteps it takes to complete the process. All in all this unit is junk and after Amazons response, I'm very disappointed in making me whole. Don't waste your money on this $90 unit. The seller won't help in any way. By the way, I spend over $15000 a year thru Amazon and thought they could at least offered to help me with repairs caused by bad merchandise.

The rock tumbler has been great. The first set of rocks that came with the tumbler came out really nice. I have since made 4 batches of sea glass (with another tumbling now) in different colors. It has been a lot of fun and plans for many more. The customer service has been very responsive and courteous. Nothing has gone wrong but when it came they offered 4 complimentary belts. When I requested them, the belts arrived promptly. Shout out the Daisy for her help. I would highly recommend this for any age enthusiasts!

Really like this machine so far. The two belts that came with it broke within the first few days of operation but the company anticipated it and sent me several replacement belts when I registered the purchase. Did not miss any cycles. I let it rest a day or two between cycles.

Worked for a month then the motor gave up, I followed all the instructions on weight. The belts are also poor quality, went through 2 In just a month.

Edit Nov 12: I have to say my experience with Koolstone has been fantastic! Top notch customer service. Very quick response, very polite and understanding. They quickly resolved my problem by replacing my “lemon” and I am back and tumbling. After a week or so they even reached out again to make sure everything was still running smoothly and that I was happy. Thank you 😊 EDIT Oct 25: more disappointment! The tumbler just randomly stopped mid cycle. I had it on speed 2 for 6 days, I had 2 days left and it just stopped. At first I didn’t think much of it and checked my rocks. They looked ok so I rinsed and was doing a 2hr cycle on the slowest speed to wash them between cycles. After 30 min I went to check to make sure everything was going good and it wasn’t tumbling anymore. The lights are on, shows days (1) and speed (1). But nothing happens when I hit start. I’ve unplugged it and everything, and yes the belt is still good. At this point this tumbler has caused more grief then enjoyment and want my money back! I was super excited to get this. Read the directions a couple times to make sure I did it all correctly. Went through stage 1 twice. Stage 2, 3 and 4 once. The final outcome was nothing but disappointment. Zero shine at all. So went back and watched a few dozen videos. Threw them all in the tumbler with a bit of powder laundry soap(videos used borax but I didn’t have any) for about 2hrs to make sure they are very clean. Rinsed really well and back in stage 3. Once that was done I did another laundry soap rinse for 2 hrs, rinsed well and on to stage 4. They are not shiny at all!!!!! The rocks that came with the kids have shrunk so much too! Very frustrating and disappointing. Wish I could get the original rocks again cause this definitely wasn’t the outcome that was promised 👎🏻 Giving a 1star for the outcome As for the tumbler itself, it’s been running almost none stop for 2 months and haven’t had any issues. Did change the belt cause it snapped. But other then that it seems to be working as it should.

I wasn't sure if this was a hobby I wanted to start, I bought my first tumbler. Somehow I got addicted, I watched the numbers slowly make it to 1 day. I was like a child at xmas. Then I touched the base and it just stopped wouldn't do anything. Well right to amazon to buy another. I looked at the warranty for amazon, past warranty so I set it aside. Then my friend told me to check warranty from the provider, nothing to loose messaged them. It was by far the best costumer service I ever experienced, very fast reply and my replacement base will soon be here. The professional of this company and staff deserves 100% for a review. UPDATE - 4 STARS - I originally gave this a 1 star rating (see below). After leaving that review I contacted customer service for KoolStone directly (information on box). They were very prompt with their replies and immediately sent me out a new base and belts, the barrel was completely fine and did not need to be replaced. The replacement tumbler is running and so far seems to be working well. I have upgraded the review to 4 stars since they made it right, but I could not leave a full 5 star rating because the first one I received was faulty and did break. I will update this review further once the tumbler has run a few cycles. 1 STAR - The belts didn’t last more than a week each. The tumbler itself completely died after less than 3 weeks of total run time. I didn’t even get to run the full 4 steps before it completely died. I purchased just over 2 months ago and didn’t start using right away, so I am past the return window. Just an expensive piece of trash now. I have family members that tumble regularly, there are many other tumblers that are very similar that do not have issues with breaking belts, or failing motors.

We have two of these tumblers. They are quiet, easy to use and do an excellent job polishing the rocks. We did have a problem where both stopped working. Customer service was excellent and both machines were promptly replaced.
