Bought this for my 19yo daughter to replace her 15+ year old super cheapo rod/reel. A Victory series ML6'10"EF and a new Shimano Stradic C3000FL. Spooled with 8lb Berkley Fireline. Daughter is quite the bass slayer. Even with that old junker. It was time for an upgrade. As a longtime St. Croix rod owner, I wanted her to finally experience the best. Everything about this Victory rod screams quality. The SCIII blank delivers excellent sensitivity. Every bit as sensitive as my Legend series rods. Super light weight with a prefect balance point. Daughter went from using a cheap Walmart 30 dollar special with rubber band monofilament, to this sweet a$$ set up. Now when a bass bites, she says it feels like someone smacks her rod with a stick. WHAM!! Her first day out with it and she tore up the smallmouth. Super happy daughter with a very proud dad. Seller shipped fast and rod was packaged well. Would definitely recommend any St. Croix rod.

Love it bends great and you can feel all the action. Only downfall is it’s one piece so a little harder to haul around but def worth taking.

Great rod for chucking square-bill and round-bill crankbaits. Paired it with a Team Lew's Custom Pro Speed Spin Spinning Reel (great price on Amazon) and having a blast catching walleyes/smallies and releasing most of them - keeping only what I need. Thanks Amazon!Third party sellers can be awesome as well. The store that sold me my Lew's reel was great! I was a little nervous buying from a third party (bad experiences in past) but they were good people, and their price was the best.
