By their nature of being digital, spending extra money on a fancy optical cable does not yield extra performance. As long as the connectors and cable are durable, it will do the job. The CableCreation Optical Audio Cable, 3 Feet Fiber Optic Cable [S/PDIF] is an excellent value.

Easy to install

New tv did not come with the proper cables. These puppies worked out fine. Don't forget to remove the plastic tip protection before attempting to plug into tv and soundbar.

So far so good. Got the 50ft variant, gave me more than enough room to run audio from a device behind my couch to my soundbar well in front of it. You do need to be sure to remove the plastic bulbs that cover the tips of the cable, otherwise it probably won't seat correctly and I guarantee if you do manage to jam it in the port, you won't get any sound out of it.Speaking of sound, no noticeable difference in sound quality or latency when compared to my previous cable I used (with soundbar behind my couch, awkward because the directional audio was inverted) which is a good thing.For the money, this is worth a try for your application. For reference, one of the largest chain stores carries an optical cable that's less than half the length for almost double the price.

Easy to install

Necesitaba de un cable muy largo para poder realizar una implementación con unos equipos. La verdad por el precio esperaba poco. Pero la calidad del cable y los conectores es muy buena, el cable se me hace durable y en cuanto a su funcionamiento ha sido magnifico en todos los aspectos. Resolvió muy bien mis necesidades.

I just newly renovated my basement and needed a much longer optical cord to hide in the wall for a cordless tv install. The sound is super clear and was easy to install. Very happy with my purchase!
