Heaven Official's Blessing: Tian Guan Ci Fu (Novel) Vol. 8

Literally I LOVE TGCF. The bonus stuff that came are super cute, nothing was damaged. For ppl who like BL but don’t wanna see/read something super explicit(like me), i definitely recommend this series. Yeah it has one sus part(the coffin scene) and some references, but its overall pretty clean for explicit things.

The amazing conclusion to the series. It includes some bonus chapters at the end that are about the characters after the events of the story are over, and really help it feel complete and made me smile so much. It was great to read about the characters being happy after all the drama and hardships they had to go through.

Killer plot, fantastic characters, deep themes. This is quality storytelling. I couldn't stop reading it. Finally, I can eat and sleep now.

Recently started this series and could not put it down. I caved and bought the special edition on Amazon since it was cheaper and easier to get than the Barnes and Noble special edition. I would recommend this special edition over the Barnes and Noble edition because it comes with way more for your money! The whole thing comes with two posters, a sticker sheet, notebook, double sided bookmark, and all the previous volume full covers on postcards! I was so happy when this arrived in the mail and its beautiful quality :) for anyone thinking about purchasing I would totally recommend! I love Hualian so much (╥﹏╥) Would definitely recommend that you order this with other things too, such as books, because my corners got a little banged up in transit (the box did not have any bubble wrap included), but it’s not that noticeable ;) (I ordered mine with two other books for reference, all books were paperback.) I saw a review somewhere that was dissatisfied with how much of this volume is arc 5 verses extras. By my count roughly 50% of the story is arc 5, which is a decent number of pages to finish off the main story. The extras are awesome bonus stories that function like epilogues - giving insight into Xie Lian’s married life with Hua Cheng. I wouldn’t have minded some more “heat” in the story, but I respect the author’s choice to stick to kissing and innuendo. This is a very romantic tale of true love that stands the test of time. There are moments when people imply that Hua Cheng is like a stalker - and he’s obviously worried that Xie Lian will think so too - but he never crosses that line. He is constantly self-sacrificing and basically unselfish in his love. He’s jealous, but controls that jealousy, especially when asked to by Xie Lian. There’s a belief that real love asks nothing in return - that the object of love owes nothing to the lover. I didn’t understand this when I was young, but it’s true. Hua Cheng understands it, but a stalker wouldn’t, so he’s definitely not a creepy stalker. The cave of 10,000 gods is more like the work of a biographer. :-)

I forced my sister to buy this for me for my birthday, and i'm so glad i did!! This is literally one of the best things ever for a tgcf fan, and totally worth the extra money. All the posters are so cute! I hung up the kissing one by my bed so i can look at xie lian and hua cheng every night while i fall asleep. My mom saw one of the posters and asked who the princess was (she was talking about xie lian) 😭 The little stand thing is also so cute. it took me forever to figure out how to put together, but i think thats just because i'm stupid. this is a great product though, if your thinking about buying it, you should!

Worthwhile!

Not only is this my favorite of all the danmei I read, the art and special edition blew me away. I loved that the postcards are what appears to be the past covers and I'm super obsessed. The standee is super cute and will be happily on my shelf. As I've already completed a read through before, I can say that the story ties up everything and I also really love the extras! I was glad I got it release day and I'm glad there's pre-order guarantee so the drop in price will be given back to me. Which is a neat feature Amazon has. Highly recommend for sure.
