Very convenient product for joining wires without damaging
This product is a little expensive but im happy with the simplicity that this product offers when joining two wires together. You simply twist the sides like a bottle cap and the wires are joined and secure. Super reliable and donโt see this slipping

Pricey but works very well for those tiny wires.
After attempting to use a different set of single/double wire taps and failing miserably, opted for these mini ones. I have used the regular sized for many years with good results but these are expensive. Anyways, used the mini ones on an LED upgrade project and these worked very well. Was able to tap into thin tail light wires and no issues with a loose connection. Everything works as expected.

Great for vehicle taps
I didn't know these existed, but an AI suggested them for a project I had. The self-tapping nature of the tap spreads the wire strands without cutting them like the Scotchlok connectors can. By piercing the insulation it should self-seal against moisture. They worked perfectly and were easy to install; just be careful to keep everything straight so you don't cross-thread them.

Posi-Taps are fantastic!
I've been an ASE Certified Master Automobile Technician for over 35 years and have used Posi products for 20 years. Throughout my career, circuit repair and accessory circuit tapping technologies have made massive leaps. Today there is no excuse to use primitive, unreliable, higher resistance, crimping butt connectors that expose the circuit to the weather and corrosion. Until Posi came along, the only acceptable and reliable manner to repair a circuit was to solder and heat shrink. Now we even have self-soldering and self-weatherproofing heat shrink connectors. But Posi-Taps are safe, easy to use, a huge time and money saver, reliable, and a fantastic solution for tapping circuits in a tight space without dismantling half the vehicle's interior and where cannot use a heat gun or soldering iron. For my peace of mind, I've done resistance and voltage drop tests across Posi-Tap repaired connections comparing the findings against soldered connections and found them in tolerance. I recommend the use of posi taps but always do a reality check. Look at the vehicle schematics and make sure you are tapping the correct circuit, verify the load capacity on that circuit, and make sure the feedback from your device won't interfere with the operation of the sensitive electronics in your vehicle. add up the current draw of all of the devices already on that circuit making sure the device you are tapping into that circuit won't overload it causing a fire or worse. The current draw specifications for your devices are in their manuals. For instance, in automotive use, at 12-15 Volts DC, a 10 feet long, 26 gauge or AWG copper wire can safely carry 1.8 amps. Also, the greater the length of the wire the higher the resistance of the circuit, lowering its amperage carrying capacity. Be aware, that even some car cell phone chargers draw 3 amps which would overload a 26 gauge wire. But when in doubt talk to a pro.

The superior wire tap
Works great. Removed my cheap Scotch-locks to replace with these in my car and iโm very satisfied. Leaves a tiny pinhole, doesnโt damage the wires, and is very easy to use. Not to mention reusable too, overall a great product with great functionality.

Expensive, but worth it for clean connection, weatherproofing, and ease of use
I don't like the typical splice aids because they make me nervous about how slice through the insulation of the wires you are joining, and they are very difficult to seal. These little gadgets strike me as a cleaner alternative. They don't penetrate the origin wire except in one place, and with little likelihood of fraying the origin wire. They do so at a right angle to the origin wire, but they are much better sealed after assembly. I used them to patch in a dashcam, and they were very simple and effective.

Not too shabby
Just what I needed to make for a clean looking install of my auxiliary lights on my KLR650. And I have plenty of extras for whatever else. Bonus that they can be removed and/or relocated if the need arises.

Goof proof
Love these mechanical wire fasteners/taps. They make such a tiny hole; if you make an error or need to remove them, there is next to no damage to the wire covering.
