Good little reference tool for checking gauge of sheet metal. The scaling is done to the "standard" thickness scale for steel sheet. Just be aware of that if your working with aluminum sheet then this gauge will be of by a little. Example 20 gauge steel is 0.036" but 20 gauge aluminum is 0.032" according to most online charts. Also my keychains are silver, not black like the photo, but that's fine.

I do a lot of hobbies that involve various wires. It's not always easy to tell what gauge of wire I'm working with. I thought this would be useful to help me figure out what gauge wires are. This comes with four tools. Each one has a keyring attached to it. This makes it easy to hang on my peg board. To determine if this was accurate, I took some wires of different sizes with known gauges and compared them with the slots on the tool. The tool matches up. I found this to be a simple yet effective tool for getting a quick wire thickness measurement.
