Superb carp rod and reel combo. Pre-loaded with fishing line as well, so ready to fish straight out of the case. The first trip out I caught over 20 f1's with this, biggest 5lb. Worked well
Ideal for beginners. I bought this for a friend's son,whom I took for his 1st days fishing. At first I set it up to fish the bottom for carp but he quickly became inpatient so I decided to switch tackle and put a float on. This kept his interest and after about 20 mins he had his 1st fish. Then another and another. Only small roach at first,then he hooked into a carp of about 4lb. The rod coped well even in inexperienced hands. With a little help using the clutch, he landed his 1st carp. All in all,a good product for the beginner, although I doubt either rod or reel will last a life time,but good value for money.
