No, this ant farm does not include live ants. However, you can catch some ants in your yard, or buy them from trustworthy sources like local or online stores.

Are the ants for this any special variety? How many ants does it hold?

We suggest small sized carpenter ants for 50 - 100. Make sure all the ants are from the same colony.

My ants are not digging. How long does it take before the ants make tunnels?

Some ants start tunneling immediately. Some take couple of days. Each one is different, just like human! So please leave them in a dark quiet place and be patient.

How long can the ants survive in the farm?

Normally the ants will live for about 2 to 6 months. Queen ant is not a must, but having one in the system will help the colony survive longer.

My ant castle arrived broken/missing parts. What should I do?

Things may still happen even we offer great packaging. You may please write to us directly if you have any issues. We will manage to fix it for you.
