Easy 2 min spot clearing treatment pen!
This little pen is so easy and simple to use and can be taken anywhere. I have used it on:1. Under the skin, getting ready to surface spots2. Already appeared pus filled spots3. Spots that I have naughtily popped4. Blemishes that resulted from me popping my spotsIt's fair to say I have applied it to a range of settings and I am prone to getting spots. Does it work? Yes, I have to say the next day after using it, my spots/blemishes would be less red and angry looking. It doesn't cause any reactions to my skin. You do have to be careful not to apply too much pressure otherwise you'll end up leaving a red line indented where the pen was. I do feel very Harry Potter with this thing glowing in my hand, and it is a pretty cool looking little device. Battery wise, it was great one came included so I could get started right away. With x2 daily treatments, the battery lasted probably 3 weeks? I haven't been able to use this product to its full potential. Post morning wash and post night wash are when I use it, because you can't use it over makeup obvs and the pen should be used on clean skin. Having said that it has helped to reduce the redness of my spots/surrounding skin which is great!Cleaning wise... I wish you could wash it in soapy water, just because you're using it on your face multiple times a day and if your face isn't squeaky clean you're going to be spreading bacteria and grime around your face. I give it a quick rub down with an antibacterial wipe for my own sanity, but it is one disadvantage if you like of the product.Overall, it does do what it says on the tin and helps to reduce pesky spot appearances and it's a pretty cool device to use- I'd recommend it!

get rechargable batteries
I can recommend this to people who already know that their skin responds to blue light therapy. As to how quickly it works, it depends on what you start with and what you are dealing with. I get a flare up of cystic winter neck acne from coats and scarfs. These flare ups dont respond to the topical treatments (and just come back), and so this is pretty much the only way to get at them for me. I will give you some examples of the spots and how this thing worked. 1) I had a particularly irritated under-the-skin spot that was stubborn for over 2 weeks and it started calming down after about 2 days. 2) I also had a mild spot near the surface that went away after 1 day. 3) I had a spot that was initially calmed, but then became irritated. The pen seemed to keep the swelling down and minimized the damage. After the swelling started up, it was under control after about 3-4 days of regular use.Pros: pretty much the only way to treat those awful spots that are generally not treatable using topical products. Inexpensive. Easy to use.Cons: Not as quick to work as the one at the dermatologist. 2 minutes per spot 3 times a day is quite time consuming. Battery lasts like 3 days and then you need to get another AAA battery. If there was a plug, that would be better but there isnt.

Awesome
Despite the battery issues which I know many have mentioned in reviews, this has really worked for me. The reduction in redness is amazing and it’s stopped spots going crazy. It’s particularly helped my cystic acne especially when it comes to scarring! They won’t disappear over night but this has made a huge difference. I’ve noticed some saying it’s hard to use 3 times a day, which I get if you’re not in a 9-5 job, but I just wake up earlier to do it in the morning, then when I get home and before going to bed. Will be purchasing recharging batteries though! (P.s the box came super damaged so FYI if you’re buying this as a gift)

It works but...
This item does work but it takes time. The instructions say to use it x3 a day but I use it throughout the day which I hope is harmless. I used it on one of those spots that had yet to surface and was very painful, multiple times, and it seemed to help. The only problem I have is this device drains the battery (one AAA) SO much! (Hence why I gave this 3*) And if the battery is low, the device will sound/flash lights repeatedly to signal that the battery is low and will refuse to work which is frustrating as I’ll have just changed the batteries! I’m also convinced it’s not very compatible with rechargeable batteries either and that is the only batteries I use now.Overall, it’s very easy to use, I like the look of it and it’s good value for money (below £10)

No obvious improvements
I have suffered with cystic acne on my chin on and off for a few months now. I have literally tried everything to allivate it and thought I was doing OK but then 2 large and very painful cysts suddenly appeared. I had toyed with the idea of a light therapy mask but this looked like a cheeper and more convenient option. I had read many previous reviews which mostly sounded pretty positive so decided to give it a go. I have been using the light therapy stick for a few days now and have to say that I really haven't noticed any improvement in the size of either spot currently on my chin. In fact, one has got slightly bigger and even more painful in the last couple of days. I am glad I didn't spend more money on the more expensive mask but wouldn't say I highly recommend this stick.

It really works!
Have used this product on my teens. It really works. If you get the spots just as they start. They will start to dry out by the next morning and some disappear completely after two days. It doesn't stop new ones from appearing but makes a big difference ! Very happy teens here. Battery does run out fairly quickly but its worth it. I suggest using it in the evening watching TV etc. Results visible but morning.

Probably not worth the money
Literally don’t even know if it worked, maybe sped up the process by about a day or something but generally just made my spots come to the surface then I’d pop them, then use this and they’d come to the surface again. So not really getting rid of them
