Great headset, works with ShoreTel softphone
The headset is great but I am taking off one star for the really poor instructions on the software needed to control this headset. Even in the manual there is a very vague reference to "downloading the software" but they never specify the name of the product you are supposed to download. When you go to the website you are met with about 10 products and you don't know which one to try. In trying to find one specific to this headset, I ended up downloading one out of the archive software section called Plantronics Hub. Frankly, the headset worked with Windows default drivers and my ShoreTel softphone before I downloaded any software but I didn't have the software interface to update the firmware or do specific adjustments to the headsets functions until I downloaded the hub. There are some specific settings I had to configure to make the headset produce the computer sounds as well as the phone audio but most of the setup was plug and play. The battery discharges as long as the headset is off the charger so I wouldn't leave the headset off the charger for long when you are not actually using it.

Good Headset
Like that the headset is lightweight and the charge lasts. I used the unit for a 12 hour day with no issue. What I dislike is that the quality for the price is off, I think it is double the cost of what it should be. I also don't like the ear covering material as it is a leather type product and makes my ears sweat. The range is awesome, was able to go to the restroom while on a conference call; restrooms are about 200 ft away. There is a strange noise, clicking/static every once in a while and occasionally the connection is staticy, but that could be the internet (our phones are VIOP). Unless I find a better product, if needed, I would buy again.

A must buy, freedom from your desk
I work from home and use Avaya x phone. I wanted a headset that was plug and play without having to download any software on my work computer. This headset did exactly that for me. It has given me so much freedom, i can walk around while on calls and i have gone as far as going to my vehicle in the driveway without loosing connection.Batt life is pretty great, as i work lots of overtime. I get about 10 hours before it dies.. So i just make sure i charge it when im on my lunch break and that keeps me going.I have recommend it to a few of my co-workers and they all love it as well.

Good headset for 85% of people.
This really is a good headset, everyone says my audio is very clear and it's great that is can be charged and taken on the road with a small USB dongle. But while lightweight--I have very rigid ears and they were just uncomfortable. I think they would probably work great for 85% of users, but if you have sensitive and rigid ears--they might not work. Giving 4-stars because they are quality and well thought out.

I wouldn't recommend it for professional use
wish I would have seen the other online reviews before purchasing. My review echo's most others' - crackly sound, automatically connects to skype, then shuts itself off if there is no active skype call. I work from home, work on a software auto-dialer system, this headset lasted one call for me, then I switched back to the wireless logitech headset that I typically use and was hoping to upgrade from. I'll stick with logitech for now.

connection is horrible
very very very staticky. I can barely hear the people I am talking to through the static.

Good for work teleconferences
I work in an open cubical environment (like many others). Listening in on a teleconference is made difficult by all the other conversations and noise going on around you. This headphone, with dual ear pieces, makes like a bit easier. There is still an issue with the microphone picking up extraneous sounds, but that's what the mute function is for. In general these work quite well. My only issue is the plastic bit that holds the two sides of the headphone together (and allows you to adjust the earphone shorter or longer). I have very little hair (none) to pad between my scalp and the top/plastic bit. If you have lengthened (opened) them some, the edges of the plastic bit and the sides of the headphone don't match up. Those edges dig into my head and are not very comfortable after a few minutes. I haven't yet taken to wrapping them with foam or something, I may. They work well with Lync and Skype, but not so much with other applications.
