Update: It’s now been 4 years and my pug is back to 15lbs and this is still the only harness we use despite having lots of cute, fancy, and “tough” harnesses in the closet. So simple to put on/take off, he’s comfortable in it, and it has held up amazingly well including washing it.I’ve had this harness for almost 3 years now so I feel confident in leaving an honest review. I purchased a size small for my pug. When it first came he was about 9 months old to and 15 lbs. he’s currently 19 lbs and the harness still fits well (although I had to adjust it to the largest setting finally). Pugs have a relatively broad chest but if your dog is 20 lbs or more I would choose a larger size. Multiple times over the past few years I have ordered some cute fancy harnesses but every time I come back to this one. It’s the only harness that seems comfortable to my dog, is easy to slip on, and he can’t escape from it (he’s a little Houdini escape artist). After 3 years it’s still in perfect condition (albeit dirty from his shenanigans). I really don’t have anything negative to say about this harness and the price is incredibly reasonable. It has reflective strips so you can see it well at night and the bright red color stands out during the day. Since my dog is all black this is helpful because otherwise he blends in to the pavement basically. The strap stays exactly where I tighten it as opposed to other harnesses that slip and loosen when the dog pulls or wiggles enough. I definitely recommend this and would buy it again in a heartbeat. It’s really the only harness we’ve ever needed and I don’t foresee needing to buy a new one anytime soon.

We just received this item, and have used it once. Our Schipperke puppy seems to like it. Its much easier to put on, and she seems to find it more comfortable, as far as where it fits her on the chest area. We ordered the purple color, and the color is a darker, not as bright color as the picture, but its very pretty and looks good on her. It closely matches the Top Paw brand leash we got at Pet Smart. It was easy to get the proper fit, if you measure your dog before ordering. She's 13 pounds, and we didn't need the extra piece that came with is, because for the neck, her fit was as tight as it would go, so there's not any pulling on her fur. It seems very well made, and the price is very good for the quality, considering a competitor charges over $40. I've only used it once, but we are pleased so far.

For reference, my pup is 3.5 months old and about 25lbs. We bought the medium and at first it was a little big. This is a fine dog harness - well made, easy to put on and sturdy. One suggestion: I went by the suggestion on size and ordered two harnesses for my dogs - both harnesses of the same size per the suggested size. My dogs are small so I ordered accordingly. One harness fit well (just a bit loose but works fine) but the other one was way too big for my smaller dog - they may run big for the indicated measurements. I did return the one that didn't fit with no problem.

I was shocked to see how great the material quality of this leash was, so I bought another one for safe keeping before my prime membership expired. However, now I wished I would have tested this product out before buying another one. While good material, the leash does not do its main intended job: RESTRAINING YOUR PET. The locking mechanism on this leash (which is a buckle) is faulty. Expect the buckle to come loose often. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to chase my dog around the neighborhood because the buckle undid itself and the leash came off.

I love this!!! My baby girl 12 yrs old has trouble getting up , moving and got hurt... So while healing I got this to help her move and get up... It's sooo easy and she doesn't mind it at all!!! This works wonders!! She's 68lbs and I got a large .

This is a very worthwhile product. Looks nice. Fits comfortably even when it is hot out. Gives you the option of having two hands on your dog (one on the leash and another on the handle) which ensures their safety and security. One of the main reasons why I purchased it was because unlike other brands, the handle is in front of the leash and not under it. If it was under the leash (farthest from your dogs head) it would not be so easy to grab and you could end up hurting your hand. The only thing I would like to see changed is that the straps do loosen with use. They are easy enough to tighten but you have to do it on a regular basis.

My 55 lb lab mix has put this harness to the test. She's a constant puller on walks and loves to roll around on the ground.This harness is the easiest to put on my dog that dances, prances, and jumps around when she sees that it's time for a walk. After the initial adjustments to size the harness to her, I'm able to "catch" her in the harness as she walks by- slipping it over her head- and then it's just 1 buckle around the waist. The harness does need adjustments to tighten it between uses pretty often (probably because of how enthusiastic and energetic she is, constantly pulling and rolling while in her harness).The handle on the harness is a bit small, so not as easy to grab quickly. It is sturdy and holds against pulling.I am sad to say that my dog did stain the colored backing when rolling around on the ground. I'm not sure if it will wash out, definitely didn't rub off.
