I like Huawei routers. I have had quite a few over the years, internal and external 4G types and now I have moved over to 5G systems. If you can, try and install an external unit. They do give a more consistent performance which is hard to beat.This router is easy to install and set-up. It works as you would expect. It's a small unit, but the low weight means it doesn't need a support beam to install on. The GUI is easy to navigate, however some functions such as port forwarding are called odd things - IMO.Overall I recommend. However, if you have any questions regarding some of the more less used features and reach out to Huawei support, then you are wasting your time. They don't want to know unless you have a support agreement with them. They asked me to go and ask Amazon and I explained I need their support. It fell on deaf ears. If I hadn't have mounted the unit I would've sent it back.However, to round off, it's easy to install, basic set-up is ok and it works.

Great product, now I get signal in the back part of my house, where I could not get signal before.

As a family, take regular caravan holidays, the quality of the mobile signal can vary drastically from place to place.. Trying to explain to my 3 kids that you all cannot stream Netflix at the same time, is a situation a parent does not want lol. We tried it all hotspots to pour phones, plugged in wifi routers, portable wifi router, with these there would be lots of area where the signal was simply not good enough for us to practically use. That was until we purchased this router. We mount it onto a telescopic role we purchased purely for this and the signal is bought from higher up outside into the caravan. Would highly recommend this to all.

Living in an area where Cityfire or Openreach have no dates on when they will install full-fibre, I am stuck with a very slow internet connection, especially uploads. Working in a role where I am constantly uploading large files, working from home is extremely painful, slow, and frustrating. I needed the fastest possible connection possible and then I came across this device! I installed it in my loft, high up, and finally I can get my work done in minutes where it used to take hours!

Wish I had seen this sooner. I purchased one of these from Europe for over £1000! I live in a very old house with thick stone walls, and I was struggling to find a router that would give me the speeds that I needed. Whilst I got good coverage in the garden using a portable 5g router, the signal would drop drastically the moment i went indoors. As I work from home this was a big issue, especially on wet and cold days when I could not work in the garden.Did some reading and discovered whilst 5g might offer fast speeds, the signal has issues going through buildings and other objects easily, so I purchased this modem and initially mounted it in my loft, whilst i did see an improvement in speeds it was no where near the speed I was getting outside, so I decided to mount it outdoors. I could not believe the speed I was getting now, worth every penny i spent on it.Would recommend to anyone who lives in a poor coverage area, or someone who simply wants the fastest possible connection.
