TCL Roku Tvs are my go to
I bought this to replace the old Samsung tv on our covered patio that had finally bit the dust. This is my third TCL tv purchase. Their price point is always competitive, they are easy to set up, and very lightweight. I had no problem wall mounting it myself (55 yr old woman). The picture quality is quite good for a tv in this price point (and even better than some more expensive ones). One reason I keep buying the TCL brand is because they have the features I want. They look nice, the picture is good without having to adjust anything, and the sound quality is good without having to add external speakers. It took me maybe 15 minutes from the time I took it out of the box to having it up and running. I was able to log in to my Roku account and have all my apps ready to go.

5 Stars for this 4K 50" Ultra HDTV Roku TV at that! Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision HDR.
Fantastic Value on an HDTV with tons of features that can't be beat. TCL even had awesome packaging on the HDTV to protect the screen. Actually some of the best packaging I've ever seen on a TV like this. The thing works great right out of the box and those that want to tweak settings you'll be able to easily do that too but most won't find it necessary to do. Easy setup and eARC makes it easy for setup of other components that take advantage of that like AVRs and Soundbars. 4 HDMI inputs on this one so you shouldn't have any issues hooking it up to your other HDMI components. Remote is basic and easy to use without having to consult convoluted directions. The thing just works and it works great at that. Very pleased with it and honestly this is my third TCL TV so I appreciate the value they offer in a quality product. Give one of these a try and I bet you won't be disappointed with it.

So easy to set up!!!
First let me tell you I am a senior citizen and have had this TV for less than a week. Our original TV died and we needed something fairly quickly. I did a lot of research beforehand and this brand had good reviews. We have a sitting area in our bedroom and use this Smart 43 inch TV there. There are several services we use for streaming. We do not do anything complicated. We simply watch TV and movies. Did I mention we are seniors, lol? The Roku TV came very well packed, was solid but lightweight enough for my husband to manage. I was dreading the whole set up process; however, was very surprised at how easy and quick it was to get up and running with all of our apps. We find the picture and sound quality to be excellent but I can see where younger folks may want to use more accessories to enhance them. I am still in shock at the affordable price of this TV. You do get an additional 90 days of warranty protection with the original 12 months without any extra charge if you register your product online. This Roku Smart TV is a good quality item with a decent warranty for an excellent price.

It's ok for the price.
Replacing a 9 year old 40" Samsung as I wanted bigger that would still fit in by cabinet and offer 4k. This fit the bill and also has dolby sound to use with my 5.2 marrantz avr. Improved, but not dramatically, in picture quality. On a lot of things, soccer games noted, it doesn't seem bright enough but increasing brightness control washes out the picture. Had an issue with dolby direct sound as it would go out every few minutes. Search online recommended some changes to the Roku settings. Seems ok so far although now and then sound gets louder or softer by itself. The larger screen just fit into my cabinet and the small difference is noticable. Relatively easy setup...was already using Roku. The 4k is noticable on some streams and not so much on others. Would love to have the football look on soccer games but don't think that's the TV fault. Would also like more offerings in 4k... again, not the TV fault. Have to say the touted ability to keep high motion pics clear is not that good, or my old Samsung was actually much better than I thought. Also, MLS on Apple tv offers some crappo unclear streams. All in all it is an improvement but less so than i was hoping for. Good for the price.

Great Product, Awful Delivery
I owned of previous iteration of this TV that was broken in a move. Because of the ease of setup of my previous TV, I wanted to buy the same brand. Roku TVs are easy to set up and this TV was no exception. It took minutes to fully set up and connect. Extremely user friendly. Picture is great. I was especially happy because the feet (stand) are 3” closer in than in my previous TV, so this TV will fit on my 39” stand (old version of this TV had feet set at 39.5” apart, while this one is just a tad over 36” apart). I will only buy Roku TVs from now on because of their ease of use. Even my old Roku remotes work on this TV, which makes replacing remotes so easy without the setup nightmare with other TVs. Not the fault of TLC (the fault lies with Amazon delivery), but delivery was awful. They delivered to the wrong address because they looked only at the numbers of the address and not the actual street name. Since Amazon delivery people make this error more regularly than one might expect, I knew from the delivery picture where they had actually delivered it, so I was able to go over to the other house to get it, but it could have been a bigger problem.

Extremely well packaged. After a few picture and sound tweaks this is a great set for the value!
This was hands down one of the best packaged TV's I've ever purchased, even outdoing the much more expensive OLED's I've purchased. Setup was simple, it's zippy, not on the level of a roku ultra but as good as the sticks. You probably want to tweak the picture settings a little and maybe even sound. Easy to do, when watching something hit the star button on the remote to get a sub menu. Once I tweaked in there the picture is great. It will reflect light so no bright lights in front or you may get a reflection. I have no issues with viewing angles. This is wall mounted in a mancave shed we're building out, and I couldn't be happier for the price.

Great picture even better price.
If you’re in the market for an affordable 50-inch 4K TV with solid performance, the TCL 50-inch 4K LED TV might be just what you need. Offering impressive features at a reasonable price point, it delivers a great viewing experience without breaking the bank. Here’s a detailed look at what this TV has to offer. Design and Build The design of the TCL 50-inch 4K LED TV is simple and sleek, with a slim bezel that gives it a modern, minimalist look. It fits well in most living rooms or entertainment spaces and doesn’t take up too much room. The stand is sturdy, though it may look a bit basic compared to higher-end models. It’s not the flashiest design, but it’s functional and gets the job done. Picture Quality The 4K resolution is a major highlight, and the TV delivers a sharp and detailed picture. Colors are vibrant, and the contrast is decent for the price. While it's not as advanced as higher-end OLED models, it still provides a great viewing experience, especially for everyday content like streaming shows, sports, and video games. The LED display offers good brightness levels, making it suitable for moderately lit rooms. The HDR support enhances the overall picture quality, bringing more depth to brighter highlights and darker shadows. However, it’s worth noting that the black levels may not be as deep as what you’d find in more premium models, but it’s still solid for the price range. Smart Features Running on the Roku TV platform, the TCL 50-inch 4K LED TV gives you access to a wide array of streaming apps like Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, and YouTube right out of the box. The interface is user-friendly, and navigation is smooth, allowing you to switch between apps and settings quickly. Roku’s voice control feature adds convenience for those who prefer a hands-free experience. The TV also supports popular voice assistants like Alexa and Google Assistant, which makes it easy to control your TV with simple voice commands. Sound Quality While the sound quality is decent, it doesn’t stand out. The built-in speakers are clear enough for casual viewing, but they lack the richness and depth you’d find in higher-end models or with external sound systems. For a better audio experience, pairing the TV with a soundbar or external speakers is a good idea. ### **Performance** The TCL 50-inch 4K LED TV offers smooth performance thanks to its fast refresh rate and low input lag, making it a good choice for gamers. It handles motion well, providing clear action scenes in fast-paced sports or movies. The response time is quick, ensuring that there is minimal delay between what’s happening on-screen and the action. Value for Money At its price point, the TCL 50-inch 4K LED TV is an excellent value. While it may not have all the premium features of more expensive models, it offers great picture quality, decent sound, and a user-friendly smart TV experience without costing a fortune. It's perfect for those who want a solid 4K TV for everyday entertainment and streaming. Final Thoughts The TCL 50-inch 4K LED TV is an affordable and reliable option for anyone looking to upgrade to 4K without spending too much. It provides good picture quality, a solid smart TV experience, and decent performance overall. While the sound and black levels could be improved, it’s a fantastic choice for budget-conscious buyers who want a big-screen 4K TV with all the essentials.

roku conducting suspicious practices
Update. 0 stars. Roku rolled out a new arbitration agreement forcing you to agree or not use your tv in anyway through a popup that locked everything. This arbitration agreement means you can never sue them in court (only arbitrate by their own people conveniently) and wildly burdens you to opt out by physical mail but can't continue to use the tv unless you agree. This is extremely anti consumer and everyone should be made aware of the disgusting practices the company is doing shamelessly. Go watch videos on this explaining it further. Tv was thrown out as my other roku devices for open source alternatives android tv boxes. Original which doesn't apply anymore below ----- Couldnt find another 5 series roku qled model like the past few years so this was the only alternative and was not disappointed. Much better than my 2016 4 series and just as good as my 2021 5 series qled roku tv. No extra features weighing down the os that i usually turn off like motion smoothing. No privacy invasive voice remote (although you can purchase one if you want it). Minimal ghosting in extreme test which some is natural for tvs. (By comparison lg ur8000 2023 model uses a terrible VA panel with severe ghosting). Colors are great and have better adjustment range than previous 4 series I've owned. "Bezelless" design is sleek and nice to look at although the sensor bar in the lower middle is too big for my taste in comparison to the 55s535 which perfected the design imo. Although im sad theres no qled model for this year by tcl for roku, the price of this was well worth it at time of writing. 299 for 50".
