Drayton 30002 Digistat + Room Thermostat

I purchased this to replace a 30 year old Honeywell mechanical thermostat that had become very unreliable and erratic in calling for heat from the central heating.It is rather cheaply made, but the L.C.D. screen is clear and easy to read, and importantly, it is accurate to within .5 °C. After reading the instructions a couple of times, it was fairly easy to set up using the dial. It comes ready programmed for the average home, but as my house is quite cold, I had to reprogram it; this requires a bit of lateral thinking, as the instructions are a little confusing.I partnered it with the Drayton Lifestyle LP711 timeswitch. In combination they worked very well, and my house was noticeably warmer over the past winter. The biggest improvement being that the digital thermostat called for heat as soon as the temperature dropped below the set temperature.I can recommend both products.

This thermostat was the biggest error of an order we have ever made. The item was not fit for purpose. The old item was removed within seconds but this Drayton 30002 came with totally different connections. The instructions were exceedingly unclear and confusing. My husband took over an hour to understand and fit the item. For the following few hours we attempted to make the sensor drop temperature so the heating would kick in but it refused to budge . The setting of the desired temperature then refused to change and became fixed at one setting. At this point after numerous hours of disappointment and frustration my husband removed it from the wall and stamped on it!Lesson learned; dont complicate something so much that it doesn't work. We wont be buying a Drayton item ever again!

I have never fitted a thermostat before and I was not sure whether it would replace the British Gas version which looked identical. Well it did! Thank you Drayton!

works as expected, easy to install and quiet in operation. Replaced a cheap wire sensor that buzzed loudly and used to wake the children up early. The thermostat is now silent but unfortunately the children still wake up early so I can no longer blame that cheap old buzzing thermostat.

GOOD QUILITY THERMOSTAT WILL BUY AGAIN

Fit as expected. Ensure you take photos of the wiring and you're good to go. Took about 20 mins to swap out an old unit that was broken. Has been in place all winter and has performed as expected!

Replaced the original British Gas item with no problem. Easy to install.
