Bought these for woodworking. I find them superior to my Jorgensen f clamps, by far. The steel frame is extremely rigid. Also, the threads are well-cut and operation very smooth. Easier to use too- they don't have a mechanism that holds position, so slides easily for adjustment. Add a rubber band if needed. But it slides onto the workpiece, you slide the head into position, and in 1/2 turn there's great clamping. Def overkill but more economical. The top of the F, being flat, easily allows one to cut slots in e.g. a portable bench, just cut a mortise in the side, slide the flat head in, and there ya go- secure holding without the clamp in your way. Very solid in all regards- good weight, super rigid, easy to adjust and use in many ways.

I’m giving 5 stars in fairness because these are well made tools. They look like they will work well. I caution you about one thing though: the “HD” descriptor. I’ve returned them because of this reason. These should be listed as medium duty.
