works ok, the pass through design makes it easier to work on cables. the stripping of the outer cable needs some practice to make work flawlessly as i think it depends on how think your utp cable. if its a little thinner, you have to adjust how the blade cuts the outer cable. size weight look and crimping were all good! included connectors and boot are ok too.

It took several to learn the tricks. Any problem is not this tool, its practice to get past human error.

Total garbage product, blades aren’t set correctly. Doesn’t strip or cut the wire like it says it does. Spend the extra couple bucks and get the Kline

The whole kit is a great deal, although that means reduced quality on performance in most cases, this one being one of them. The tool itself has some issues. The excess trim cutter does not cut wire all the way through or makes bad cuts and leaves nubs causing bad connections most of the time. It also fails to push all pins effectively sometimes. RJ45 port on tool is also slightly too small for connector causing me to have to force it in sometimes. However, the tool is sturdy and feels good in the hands, the cutting and stripping work great, the blade is sharp and efficient. If I could give this a 3.5/5 I would

It work perfectlly fine

I have many years of experience with terminating RJ45 cables but these tips are garbage! The wire guard boots are also cheap and loose on the wire. The crimp tool is ok, the colored wiring diagram looks cool in the ad but it's just a vinyl sticker that is sloppily attached to the tool and comes off due to the oil on the surface of the tool. Wire tester tool also works ok. The supplied RJ45 ends are CRAP! They do not crimp right (sorts or unconnected wires) they also do not cut the end correctly with the tool (half crimped wires at the end hanging off instead of cleanly cut wires). You would think that the manufacturer would include better tips and boots so their tool would work nicely with them, but that is not the case! (some people think it's the tool, nope it's the garbage tips supplied). Network engineer here. This is a terrible, garbage tool - the cutter doesn't work, and the crimper is weak. They just attached this garbage to some socket and a tester to sell those. Please don't throw your money in the garbage.
