Funny, sweet, swoony, inspirational romance with fabulous characters!
Out on a Limb is my first book by this author and I couldn’t help but download it after reading all of the great reviews. I love books where the couple meets by chance and our hero and heroine do just that at a Halloween party hosted by mutual friends.Their chemistry and conversation drew me in from the beginning and had me laughing right along with them. I loved their wit and sense of humor and how both felt vulnerable with their physical disabilities. Just as the author does in real life, Win was born with a less developed right hand, and Bo has a prosthetic lower leg.The writing is excellent and will make you feel every emotion as you grow to love and understand them as individuals and as a couple. The author goes into details at length which I like…what they are doing, about their past relationships, what they do for their careers, how they are feeling, etc. They hook up on their first night and I honestly loved how much fun they had with each other. The banter was exceptional and had me smiling from ear to ear. Bo was the absolute best book boyfriend ever. Loved how he thought he was a nerd because he was a math geek and role-played Dungeons and Dragons; how his cool dad was his best friend, and how sexy he looked in his glasses.Although their physical relationship progressed very slowly after their first night, I loved their honest communication, how sweet they were to each other, and how she didn’t want to take advantage of his generosity once she revealed she was pregnant. She respected and appreciated him, but treaded carefully as she couldn’t help but wonder if he held residual feelings for his ex.It was so obvious Bo loved her from the depths of his soul, and he was so loving, patient, and protective. He believed in her dreams and helped make them come true and is a total hero in my book. And the things he would say and do were just so swoony!Win was just so endearing and hopeful and such a sweetheart with a great sense of humor. There isn’t a person in the world who could say one mean thing about her. Loved her life-long friend and their relationship and all of his friends you get to meet along the way.The way the challenges of the physical disabilities that they had and how they overcame them was really beautiful to read and inspirational. Loved their acceptance and total love and support of one another. The epilogue into the future was amazing and left me with a happy heart.

Beautiful. Witty. Swoony.
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 4.5/5 starsWhat a beautifully written book. Ohhh my goodness! I saw a number of people recommend this book on TikTok so I dove in blind. While I typically tend to avoid the pregnancy or unplanned pregnancy trope(s) in the books I read (because of how much these specific things parallel to my real life) I thoroughly enjoyed this story. The characters were so lovable it’s insane. The healthy way they communicate with each other is so authentic and refreshing. Honestly the MMC reminds me so much of my own husband (even down to the love of playing D&D 😂). The banter these two have is incredible. The side characters were also really great. I enjoyed that there wasn’t any “villain” character that came in and tried to mess things up. Sometimes it’s just nice to not have a villain.I thought that the representation of people with a limb difference was eye opening and beautiful. All in all this is such a beautiful book about the navigation of what happens next when life throws you all these curveballs, and getting through them with a team of people you know you can count on to be there for you. How healthy friendships and relationships can be the reason you can get through the hard things in life.Absolutely delightful in all the ways ♥️

Such a precious story
Adored this absolutely precious love story, that was just so, so sweet. Not only was it genuinely uplifting, it was also laugh out loud HILARIOUS (I want to be bffs with Win) I so appreciated how this novel openly - but also very positively - talked about all the joys and challenges of people who move through the world in their own, unique ways (different is beautiful)Truly, if you want to just soak up an adorable, hilarious love story (with a lil A+ spice and the most fun banter) You’re definitely gonna want to check out Out On A Limb 🌱 (also HIGHLY recommend the audio book)thank you @authorhannahby for your beautiful story, your transparent, honest representation + the absolutely lovely authors note at the beginning of this novel — my heart, just ahhhh ♡︎

amazing
How explain how good, deep, warm, real and heartwarming is this book ???I know most of the book are so far from reality and yes, we usually read it exactly to scape that reality but the closer the better and this book is the closer you can get ! That huge idealism with unrealistic expectation (no matter if lifewise, relationship wise or money wise) this is so warm feeling to see fears, traumas, insecurities that we all feel at one point or another and that life don’t need to be a fairy tale for us to make it work ! That’s what I feel and it was amazingWin has so much fears, so many insecurities and a very different reality of most people but she don’t let her disable dictate her life although she did let that (and how her ex treated her) paralise her for way to long. Her relationship with Sarah and Caleb is something beyond amazing … everyone deserve a friend like Sarah !Bo is the golden boy, the retriever caring, the perfect boyfriend/husband material that we all dream about ! But he does have many scars and they are also not pretty, they are terrifying and he put himself out of the world for wait to long till Win and their relationship, their communication, their constantly carrying with each other, their healthy relationship from day one with respect and mutual admiration is something that we don’t see so much in the romance books this days and was one of the best things in this book ! Their dialogue, banters and desire to build a good relationship for the baby and for themselves putting their hearts in the line !!!I really love this book !!!Rating : ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Spicy : 🌶️Ending : HEA 💓POV : 👫 (Dual)

What a sweet, wonderful story.
I love everything about this delightful book. Winifred and Bo are perfect for each other. From their first conversation at a Halloween party where they are both dressed as pirates, I could tell I was about to read something special. The attraction between them can't be ignored fro the beginning. Winifred only claims she wants the one night together. She was almost destroyed by a previous relationship and is terrified of it happening again. But just over six weeks later she realized there were consequences. Yep, she was preggers. She's hesitant to tell Bo, but instead of being dismayed he was going to be a baby daddy, he's delighted about wants to be fully involved. He talks Win into moving in and they proceed to get to know each other and become very good friends. And as that's happening win is coming to admit to herself how much she loves this gentle, kind, thoughtful man and learning to believe he's not being to hurt her. She's safe giving him her heart. This book is filled with humor and kept me smiling throughout. It also does a wonderful job in representing disabilities and despite them, the main characters live a full and enriching life. Win is born with one hand much smaller than the other and just recently Bo had his leg amputated due to bone cancer. These disabilities don't stop either of them and in fact Win is almost glad for hers. It's strengthened her as a person. This is the second book by this author and she's one I'm going to be following.

Hannah Bonam-Young made herself a staple on my shelf with this incredible story!
Win and Bo meet at their mutual friends' Halloween party both dressed up as pirates and both funnily highlighting their disabilities. Their funny meet-cute turns into more and they have a hot and heavy one-night stand. And to all of their wonder, a baby is on the way from their Halloween fun. They go on a wonderful journey of new parenthood, moving in together and magically falling in love. And what a journey that was! I cried on two different occasions and I love when a book just makes me feel. Also, LOTR, pie chart budgets, plants and Velaris? Obsessed doesn't cover what I feel for this book. Bo and his nerdy golden retriever nature, Win and her patience and strength, and their friends, Sarah, Caleb, and Bo's dad, all of them, just make this story spectacular.

Cute
4.75 🌟I don't like the pregnancy trope at all but this was so cute. I loved the characters, laughed out loud multiple times and had a massive grin on my face. Definitely worth all the hype it gets.

Utter perfection
REVIEWcw: toxic relationships, ableism, cancer, pregnancy, grief, brief mentions of suicide, abortion, and post-partum depressionWhen Bo meets the fiercely independent Win at a halloween party, they immediately hit it off as Win's limb difference and Bo's amputation prove to be the perfect icebreaker. After one incredible night, Win discovers she's pregnant. As they navigate pregnancy together, they make a conscious decision to get to know each other properly as friends.I'm generally not a fan of the whoops baby trope, but this book obliterated my preconceived expectations (no pun intended). It was SO much more than that trope, and I urge anyone who might think they know this story to give it a chance. I absolutely ADORED Bo and Win's first meeting. The banter was first class and they were so sweet together. I loved the humour between them before the first scan. I also ADORED the friendships in this book. From Win and Sarah, who gave great, balanced advice, and whose humour and candour clearly came from years of knowing each other, to Bo and his adorable group of friends. Bo had my heart from the moment he appeared. He was such a cinnamon roll, and his backstory absolutely broke my heart. Win was hilarious but also so sweet, and I really loved whenever she showed her more vulnerable side. Again, her backstory really moved me, and I loved how fluidly she revealed her emotions to us, the readers. This brings me to the perfect pacing of this story. There was no padding or drama for dramas sake. Instead, there are pages filled with two people who have complex pasts and emotional baggage, simply getting to know each other physically and emotionally. I was so deeply invested in their love for each other. The yearning was SUBLIME. Chapter twenty-four left me dehydrated from crying. It was SO beautiful. Bo and his pencil need an honorary mention because they perfectly visualised his emotional battle when they had to share a bed. It was *chef's kiss. In fact, that entire chapter was so beautifully written (which I could say about the entire book, truthfully). I also loved the representation in this story. The scene where Win taught Henry to swim felt so rewarding. P.s. I would LOVE Cam to find his own person. This was one of those books I never wanted to end. That said, the ending and epilogue were both so stinking cute, just like Bo and Win.Utter perfection.Overall Rating: ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️Heat Rating: 🔥🔥Emotional Rating: 🙈😏😂💓🥰😍🙈😂🥰🙈💓😍🥰😍😂🥰💔😬🙈😂😬💓👏🏻💓😡💓💔😭😊😂🥰😂🙈💓🥰😂💓🙈💓🥰😂🥰😂💓😂💓🙈😏😍🤦🏻♀️💔💓🥰😭🥰😉💓🥰💔😊💔🥰😭🥰😭💓😏😂💔👏🏻🥰😊💓😏🥰😍😉💓🥰😂🥰😢😂🥰💔😬💓😉🥰💓🥰😢💔👏🏻🥰😍🥰😍💓🥰😉💓😂🥰😉😍😉💓😍💓🥰😏😭💓😭🥰😭💓🥰
