Stunning little kit
Made this in one day. Everything fitted and matched. Excellent step by step guide. Really enjoyed assembling and the addition of lights makes it look magical. The lights are touch sensitive which is fantastic. Patience and nibble fingers required. Great adult gift, like doing a puzzle but you actually have something to show for all the hours of assembling. I would recommend this item.

Loved it! Great book nook kit.
I loved building this - had no problems with it at all - easy to follow instructions, glue included, beautiful design. A fun project and a lovely addition to my bookshelf!

Tests your patience
This was fun to do, took all day on Boxing day to do, I did the left side and then once I put the walls in, it was falling apart. Still, I carried on and it has been completed - just need to put batteries in. Really enjoyed doing this, wasn't too sure which things needed to be glued. So if you do buy this, take a deep breath, have fun and be very patient. It looks lovely when it is finished.

Lovely
A lot of this one is slotting paper together and the tags can be fiddly, be careful not to rush and damage any. The guide is illustrated but not coloured as some are, means a few of the steps need careful attention.Comes with everything you need, though a tweezers may help. Took me an afternoon to do.Love the end result. It's bright and the 'glass' sides means you can see different angles. Going to look great perched on my gardening books.

Good. Could be better.
I timed how long this took to make and it was roughly 6.5 hrs. There are points to be aware of:1. The battery compartment is in the base. And just to be bleeding awkward, they've made it a screw-compartment. No easy changing of batteries. Also, for those who have never had to change a plug... each of the six wires (3 red, 3 black) have bare parts towards the end and then some extra rubber towards the end. This is so that you don't have to use wire strippers! The bits of rubber at the end can be removed simply by sliding them off with finger and thumb. The three back wires then get joined together by simply lining the rubber parts up so that the bare bits are facing the same direction, arranging the three bare wires together and winding them tight (don't wind the rubber parts). If you can't do all three at once, wind two together, and then wind the third around them. Once done, they should be folded in half (almost to make a loop - keep the bare bits touching) and the black 'electrical tape' wrapped tightly around them. The same should then be done with the red wires. Don't forget the tape! It'll prevent shocks and sparks.2. Some of the parts are not cut correctly - the main one being one of the roof joists. It doesn't affect the overall fit, but it does mean the frame doesn't perfectly align.3. The card parts are fiddly. If you have arthritis or poor eyesight, this is not for you. They often unroll, unclip, or just fall out/off of their holders. The glue works well - use it even when it doesn't say to! - but it takes a long time to dry (useful if you make a mistake).4. There are unnecessary 'spares' for some parts. This left me at the end thinking 'omg what did I miss?'. The answer was nothing.5. The plastic for the windows is an awful 'clingy' plastic. This means dust, bits, and fingerprints - which don't easily wipe off - and plastic which scratches easily. Take special care.6. The roof is annoying. The rear wooden top panel simply slips out of place (being an unnecessary piece as the entire back panel could have been printed in one), whilst the two long panels are pointlessly complicated with diagrams saying 'pay attention to the the wide end and narrow end' and 'ensure they're the correct way up' because one of them has miniscule notches cut in the top - which are entirely unnecessary. The bit they DIDN'T say is that the tabs on the long plastic windows for the roof SLIDE INTO the notches in the frame - no need to try to force them in as I initially did.7. Sticking with the plastic - the holes cut into the walls and roof to attach to the frame are rugby-ball-shaped. The attachments are rectangular. Not a problem if the rugby ball cut-outs were larger but they're not. Some are simply too small. After ages struggling with the left wall panel, I grabbed my craft knife and simply made the holes more rectangular and the other plastic panels slid on with ease.8. Likewise, some of the 'wooden' parts simply would not fit and ran the risk of snapping, so had to have corners sanded from the tabs so they would fit into pieces.9. The underside for the wires is also held together by 4 wooden pieces which were a nightmare to get into the holes as they're ridiculously tight and there's nowhere to get purchase - a lot of force is needed to push them in with one hand but with no way to apply force from the other side. Confused? You'll understand when you get to it. It was entirely unnecessary as electrical tape could have been used. Keep that in mind!10. Some of the stickers don't stick well. The stairs and balustrade are plain, unfinished wood - they're also one of the first things you put in. I WOULD ADD SOME MATERIAL/PAINT BEFORE ADDING ANY OTHER PARTS, and maybe hang something from the balustrade, as that whole left side/staircase looks bare and unfinished. SEE MY PICS FOR CLARITY.11. Speaking of the left side, a picture in a frame is added on the inside above the staircase. On the outside, the diagram shows that a picture is added to the wall, but not a frame. Add a frame! There's a spare one available. I didn't use it, thinking it might be used elsewhere, but it's not. And the picture on the outside of the wall looks unfinished without a frame. (See pic and diagram, noting the absence of part F26 with part E3)I don't think this would last long in the hands of young people. The construction would not survive being knocked off a shelf, for example. Some of the parts break even during construction, although there are spares for some. Though not all. It was annoying to get to the very final stage only to find that a tiny part broke (holds the plant pot on the steps) without a spare! So it was glue to the rescue. The plastic plant gets chopped into about 6 pieces. Don't worry that you're doing it wrong - it's correct! It does mean you need sharp scissors or a craft knife. And just like with real flowers, I found that cutting the ends into sharp diagonals up the stem (to give a pointy end) rather than straight across made them easier to put into the pots.I got this on offer for a little over £20 which makes it good value when one considers how much it can cost to go to the flicks for a 2hr movie. And this will look nice on a shelf when lit-up, and should last long enough if kept away from clumsy fingers. I enjoyed making it (frustrations of some poorly-cut pieces aside) and already have several more to make.It should be noted, this kit was purchased in summer 2024, though I've only just gotten around to it (massive cross-stitch kits have had my attention) so the issue re: part fit may have been rectified in the interim, and would certainly seem to be the case judging by other reviews.

Great gift
I have made the same one in the USA . Instead of paying outrages shipping cost and VAT I decided to order one through Amazon Uk instead for my Granddaughter. Same great quality easy to assemble. We had so much fun putting it together .

Sehr gut Qualität alles in allen.

Belle et conforme à la photo mais un peu déçue
Elle est très belle une fois finie mais seul bémol c’est que l’une des deux « lumières » ne fonctionne plus après 10 minutes après l’allumage…
