Lykke Driftwood Circular Knitting Needles 32 inch - Size 10

I am a die-hard aluminum fan. I don’t knit with stainless steel. I don’t knit with plastic. I don’t for any reason ever knit with WOOD. I ended up these and decided to give them a whirl (in a pinch) and let me tell you...these needles are T H E TRUTH!! They don’t stick like bamboo. They’re light and smooth as satin. They aren’t heavy like stainless and they don’t bend like plastic. Love love love these!!!

32" size 3 Circular NeedleThese are literally the best circular needles I have ever used. I've been using Lykke straight needles for several years, and although I have SO many brands of circular needles, I broke down hoping to have the same quality w these circulars as I have had w their straight needles. I have been using Takumi bamboo for a current project, and got frustrated with the considerably more dull takumis. I'm using a fine weight yarn that splits easily but I really dislike dull needles! Also the cable of the takumis don't link, but they're not very flexible and the "hump" is not pleasant.. just not super smooth..I knew that Lykkes would provide more pointy needles, so I got them for this reason. However, I did not expect that the cable to needle transition would be so satisfying and so well made! These make All the difference in the world.Absolute blessings for me, with this current project!(They're also beautiful, btw)

One of the needles had a crack in it and partially split on the first 20 stitches. 🙁 I had to break off the splinter to free my stitches and now that one needle is bent. These were only $10 and I don't want to stop my project while we process a return. I am making it work with a wonky needle.On the positive side... they feel great!! Smooth with blunt ends. I even like the black coloured. The cord is thicker and once I dipped it into hot water (just the plastic cord, not the wooden needles!) The cord does not get in my way for doing "magic loop" socks.If it weren't for the cracked needle I would be raving about these needles and I would be telling everyone to buy them.

I had a friend request a sweater for Christmas. The wool is super bulky so I can finish in time. I never use super bulky. I don’t like it. So I needed needles and believe they should not only be functional but pretty. I received my size 13 driftwood circulars by Lykke today. They are truly lovely. I wasn’t expecting a great point or for them to glide so well since they are so large, but they do. Again, truly lovely.

Now I want the whole set. Love how the yarn moves on these needles, they are a pleasure to work with. Cable is not as flexible as some are used to, but I had no problem doing magic loop with it on slouchy socks. They are visually beautiful.

I love how lightweight and smooth they are to use. Having used other brands of circular needles in the past, there is something about the Lykke needles that is hard to describe. You have to try them to understand I think! Personally I find them wonderful to use and would not use any other.

I needed an extra needle for my Fading Point wrap and the price was reasonable for this 32” size 5 needle. I’ve been using my set of interchangeable Nova Platinas, which I love, but the glare from the shiny surface is blinding, and they’re slick so stitches slide off easily. So in comparison, the wood of the Lykke needle is sturdy, the joins are nice, no glare, and the stitches move easily without falling off. I didn’t find the cord to be stiff. Downside is the color is rubbing off after 4 days of use, and the points aren’t as sharp as the Nova’s.

These are my first choice for wooden needles whenever I have a choice. I’m always excited when the LYS has these as an option instead of plain bamboo! All of the driftwood needles by Lykke are so pretty and I haven’t had any problems with any of them. I have them in grey tones as well as blue.

Dopo pochi minuti di uso un ferro si è rotto. L’aggancio fra ferro e filo fa attrito e la lana si impiglia. Grossa delusione.

Purtroppo le misure indicate non sono espresse in mm ma sono quelle americane. Avendo io acquistato 7 in realtà è mm4,5 per me inutile. Forse non sono stata sufficientemente attenta io ma... ho dubbi sulla loro presentazione. Oggetto per me inutilizzabile perché acquistato nel set di lykke
