Q: What version of the bios will this come with?

From what I remember it could've been the factory default. So I would go and get latest version.

Q: How many fans can i connect? Can i connect 6 fans and 3 fan aio?

This motherboard has 6 connectors for fans, I recommend using some PWM splitter cables for more fans. 1x CPU Fan, 1x Pump Fan, 4x System Fans connectors.

Q: Do I have to updated bios if pair this mobo with ryzen 7800x3d?

I updated mine before installing the processor. Look on YouTube for videos how to do it. All you need is a blank memory stick and a psu. No cpu is required. It is easy to do.

Q: Does anyone know if the DIMM slots are in the same position as the B550. I.e is the measurement the same from top edge of MB to top edge of DIMM slot

the motherboard has standard DDR5 slot were as the b550 will have DDR4 ram.
