Cheap & effective
The media could not be loaded. Bought this 6 months ago and I've done quite a few things with it multiple small blocks and this weekend I pulled a fully dressed 06 5.9 cummins and it did it relatively easy and it seems secure a good pair with my harbor freight gantry craneBasically if you are on a budget this will work I would not trust my life working under any suspended load by it but for what I've been using it for it's been great huge time and space save about 20x better than a cherry pickerI would recommend the only issue I have with it is the raising and lowering speed it has very quick reaction so you have to really be careful it lifts very abruptly so make sure everything's unhooked but all in all it was a amazing buy for under 200$

Nothing good !
So not recommended to buy at all. This was used ONLY Mondays for no more than 20 min.One time per week for no more than 20 min....Everything falling apart.I bought 2 of them and second one has problem with puling.Unfortunately it will go to trash. So try to find better than this....There is no button to release rope. To release rope you need to hold button so long....Remote control was great idea but button simple broke....I contacted seller and they told me unfortunately they can't help with this.Only some troubleshooting and nothing else.

Worked to Perfection
Used winch to pull rolling 48 foot dock out of the lake. Was able to do by myself with ease. Remote control is an excellent addition, operated winch from 35 ft away so could make adjustments to the dock as needed. The portable nature of the winch is great as it can be stored in a shed after use.Unit appears to be very well built. Has forward and reverse function.

Maneuvered 2 1800 lbs Forklift Batteries!
We had to swap out very a heavy (1800 lb) forklift battery. We positioned the new battery under the lift and only needed to lift it about 4 inches off the floor to get a pallet jack underneath so we could roll it to the forklift. Using lifting strap through holes on the battery case, and attached that to the lift hook, this lift did the job that would have been impossible without it! Made a scary and almost impossible job one we did with confidence! Highly recommend.

Works, but it's a cable winch and you must deal with the way the wire spools up
Can't be used as a spotting hoist. It has a roughly 6" to 8" lag when stopping. It's kinda noisy compared to a chain hoist but it's tolerable.Because it is a winch the way the wire spools up is important. I regularly pull 80 lbs (concrete mix) 32 feet. If there is no significant weight on the hook (like 10 - 15 lbs) the wire can turn into a rats nest and jam. There is no guide to neatly lay the cable into courses on the drum. You can work around the problem by carefully aligning the load as you pull and always having a minimum of 10 lbs on the hook.Even with care, be prepared for the jerks and jumps as the cable spools and unspools. It probably works smothest when lifting under 8 feet but I've not checked that.It is not a replacement for a chain hoist. It's fine for occasional use -- particularly for long lifts since most chain hoists are limited to 10 feet or less..

Great product, remember to work within safe limits.
While initially the first unit that arrived gave off a burning smell when operating, I quickly contacted the seller and they provided exceptional customer support and had the unit replaced in no time at all. The second unit worked perfectly and sets up great. 660 lbs. model but I have 38ft. A little sacrifice on capacity for gains in distance, but more than enough capacity to get the job done of moving heavy furniture up three floors of awkwardly small stairs cases.

Very disappointed.
We bought this winch thinking we could routinely lift 1000 pounds. Since the Advertiser said that it was a 1500 pound winch, we thought we had capacity to spare. In reality we were sold a lot of bull. This is a 600 pound winch. Which the tag on the winch itself clearly states. In use you really don’t want to go over that. I’m disgusted with the winch. I’m disgusted with the advertising. Now we are faced with doing a job with an inadequate winch. Even though we are diligent trying to keep it within its rated capacity it is groaning and straining. What a disappointment even for Chinese products.
