~received generic alternative with no explanation of why. nno reply to communication.
bought one of these in January in an attempt to cure a Broadband issue. Never actually installed as it didn't appear to be a Kauden faceplate let alone an LJ5208V, it bore a strong resemblanceto the generic faceplates advertised on Ebay ans Amazon for a couple of pounds.I contacted Bristol communications on 25th of January for an explanation but have not yet received a reply.Very disappointed, I chose this specific faceplate based on its technical specs (characteristic impedance, filter characteristics reverse attenuation etc.). As I have no experience of the Kauden unit can't comment on its quality.

NTE5 (or NTE5a) easy-to-fit replacement faceplate
This is an excellent product that does exactly what you should expect. Note that this is for an NTE5 master socket, often re-named as NTE5a because BT are now using their model 2, which is an NTE5c master socket. You can see the difference because the 'old' socket is flat and the 'new' socket is rounded. When you remove the existing faceplate (this is permitted for you to do), picture 1, you will see the 'phone socket on the right. The model 2 master socket has the ‘phone socket in the centre. Picture 2 shows the back of the new faceplate with the plug in the right position to connect to the left-hand-side socket. Picture 3 shows it installed - the new faceplate comes complete with the longer screws you will need – with the ’phone and broadband hub connected. Picture 4 shows that the top of this master socket is definitely flat. Picture 5 shows it in use with a BT broadband hub.
