Brilliant
As always I can rely on Akiyo to provide basic tech at low prices. It is a very cheap projector and comes with everything else u might need. I especially like the tripod which keeps it off the ground helping airflow and is even easier to turn. The remote is a nice touch too. It even comes with a HDMI which is brilliant and saves me buying one. It was extremely easy and intuitive to set up. It’s as simple as plug in power, turn on and plug in laptop. The screen mirroring to the phone is also excellent. Really easy to use. The picture quality is brilliant too. Ok it’s not 8k with 120hz refresh rate. You’re not watching an IMAX movie on it or becoming the next COD pro but it’s perfectly useable for basic entertainment or presenting. The speaker is surprisingly good too. Reasonably loud and is in sync with the picture. It does take a wee second to register changes from the remote. I seen a few comments about the noise of the fan on it. Honestly I don’t see the issue. It’s not exactly silent, there is a faint fan noise but it’s perfect acceptable for this price of product. Just turn up the volume or place it behind your audience if presenting. Another feature that’s worth mention is that it has picture levelling. So no matter what angle you project from (vertically) it will show a perfectly level picture. I think you can also mount it to the wall, there is a specific setting for wall mounting. Along with a host of other settings if u want to be particular. It’s not overwhelming or hard to navigate. The only 2 criticism points are that the power cable is particularly short. U will definitely need an extension cable to run almost all the way to the projector. The power cable is long enough to reach the ground from the a table and no more. There is also no case for traveling with it. So if you’re moving it keep the box. Over it’s an excellent wee projector and for the quality, compatibility, extra features and equipment you won’t get anything cheaper!

Good resolution but not high volume
Is a good projector, good quality. It doesn't have a hig volume( sound) it should be very quite in the room to hear.

Decent quality and value
The picture was very clear though slightly cold/blue. Fan was quiet enough and not an issue. Better quality than most in this price range (I tried 8 projectors). However the audio jack had a high noise level present on it. Bluetooth was okay though

Great piece of kit for the price.
Good piece of kit, remote control has a bit of a delay but works better after I updated the firmware. Quality picture and quiet.

No audio, black screen for grey and dark colours.
Akiyo O7’s build quality gets one star, and the customer support gets one star, as both were good. The device’s remote control was responsive. Things that Akiyo can do better in their next upgrade. Image quality is 360/720 at the most. Don’t expect 1080P. The focus even at the edges, if you keep keystone at zero, and are willing to watch a trapezoidal screen, deserves a mention. But dare you adjust the manual keystone even slightly, and then focus on either the top or bottom of the screen, the image blurs on the opposite side (the bottom or the top). We made sure that none of the playback was in Dolby as Akiyo has clearly mentioned it in the booklet, yet the audio output at full 100% volume, from both, the speakers, and from the 2.5mm port, with wired earphones plugged in, was just a whisper (at best 18dB?) even for the loudest music and scenes. Connected AirPods to the Bluetooth output, but there was no improvement. Even at full 100% brightness the white is insufficient, making images appear dull. All shades of grey and even slightly dark colours, appeared totally black on the screen. Tried every mode and made every adjustment possible in settings, to no avail. Be aware that there is lots of lag and lots of buffering when connected to the internet. The USB ports did not recognise any of the devices, but started charging the phones when connected to USB ports. We shared our feedback with Seller’s support personnel to find technical solutions. Support personnel agreed that our observations were accurate. They were prompt in sending the missing HDMI cable connection which we had asked and had received confirmation prior to placing the purchase order, and even offered compensation in the form of a partial refund, if we decided to keep the projector. Feel sad that we tried everything possible to somehow make the device usable, failed, and had to return it.
