Smooth and hearty
Hearty, mild and rich taste. Compared to Mehmet Efendi, the smell is less aromatic, but taste is smoother and heartier.

Delicious, smooth, earthy and lovely cup
A friend brought us this from Istanbul, and it’s phenomenal! We’re obsessed. It’s the consistency of cocoa, with a woody, earthy, chocolatey aroma. It’s a medium roast, and super-smooth. I’ve had turkish coffee in Palestine, Tunisia, Italy, and Albania but had never been to Turkey - and while i prefer it generally to espresso, i prefer this one to any i’ve had.If you are new to Turkish coffee, you need to know it’s powdered superfine, and you’ll consume some of the grounds while drinking. Also, cooking it with the sugar produces a different, preferable flavor to adding it after. It’s typically taken medium-sweet, as directed, but some people will double the sugar and that’s also an acceptable way to enjoy it.Remember to let the coffee cook with the sugar on low heat till the crema (dense foam) forms, then scoop off the crema and enjoy it, before bringing the coffee to a full boil and pouring it into espresso-sized cups.Note on aroma: lighter roasted coffee has a more vegetal smell, and wood fire imparts its own notes. Turkish coffee can be made with darker roasts if you can grind it fine enough, but none of the Turkish coffees i’ve bought abroad smelled like a typical espresso roast or American “dark roast” coffee.

Not so tasty. Maybe I'm preparing it wrong?

undrinkable
Like the reviewer we (4 people) found it tastes very strange, although we followed the directions. It was not drinkable.
