Multi-Pulti Cheburashka & Gena, Russian Toy, Talking Plush, w/Sound, Original

I was really doubtful to buy it because of the reviews, but I really love Cheburashka so I decided to take the risk. They have tags but I'm not really sure... Gena is just like in the picture and sings the birthday song,the plastic on it's accordion its a little thin. Cheburashka seems different but still cute, it sings but it doesn't say the phrases. Btw it just took 2 days to arrive to my amazon locker (I'm from Nj)

Perfect size arrived quickly sadly only sings one song and that gets cut off. The other phrases seen in the video he does not say. Gena also sings one song wasn't expecting that.

One of my teens loves obscure/kitsch things and discovered some Russian children's DVDs at the thrift store earlier this year. One of the DVDs featured Cheburashka and Crocodile Gene, so she was amazed when these plushes showed up on Amazon.As you can see in the photo, the plushes we ordered match the photo on the listing. The Cheburashka says several phrases in Russian, but does not sing as shown in the video on this listing. Crocodile Gene doesn't make any sound at all, and there's no way to access his voice box to potentially change the batteries without cutting into the plush. In the video on this listing, he is shown singing a song.I acknowledge that I receive products to review and that I am not paying retail prices, so I almost never mention prices in the reviews I write. However, with a retail price of $80 for this set of plushes, it is extremely disappointing that one plush doesn't sing at all and the other one only says phrases and doesn't sing.
