The Cockpit USA cotton A-2 flight jacket is a lightweight alternative to its leather cousin created in 1979 by Cockpit USA. Crafted from tightly woven cotton twill, the jacket features snap close top and side entry pockets, epaulets, an interior chest pocket, a washable leather snap down collar and shoulder tabs along with knit cuffs and waistband. Lined with cotton which boasts a silk screened patriotic citation design, the jacket also features a full frontal zipper under a wind flap, a hidden pen pocket under the left pocket flap and underarm ventilation grommets. This jacket is the ideal substitute for the leather version while in warmer climates.

I really like this jacket. It is a bit heavier-weight than I expected, but that is fine. It fills the gap between a hoodie in Fall and my leather A2 bomber jacket.I am a generously proportioned individual, yet even with using exact chest measurements, this jacket has plenty of "grow room", as my dear, old, departed Mother used to say. But, this is OK, as it is not too big, and it has room to add layers, thereby extending its serviceability into the colder season.A very good value. Well-made. Good-looking. Durable. But, enough about me; this is a real contender, just be aware that the fit is roomy.

I like the jacket
Fit as expected. Side pockets are small, shallow. Not much room for hands or gloves. Inside pocket is shallow. Wish they were deeper but will make do. Snaps on pockets are very stiff. Used paraffin to slick them up. Made them easier to snap and unsnap. Overall, I like the jacket., but design could improve on the pockets, inside and out.

Good product. Nice style
Good product. Nice style. Well made. A touch on the large side, but not grossly so. Works fine with a sweater underneath it. FYI, I wear a size 44 sports coat right off the rack except for an occasional sleeve length adjustment. I ordered a size large. The only real complaint I have about the way it looks is that the color is a bit too large for the jacket in my opinion.
