Perfect for raspberry pi media server

EDIT 24-06-2015: I could have a dud, but it now squeals! No joking, it started making a high pitched sound for 30 seconds after pressing any button. Loud enough to be annoying if it's close by and no (louder) movie is playing. I'd return it if I still had the original box.I bought this for XBMC / Kodi and it has some quirks in there:- Home button does nothing by default. You must edit userdata/keymaps/keyboard.xml and add the following to activate Home screen (I personally set it to toggle full screen):<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><keymap><global><appcommand>XBMC.ActivateWindow(Home)<!-- ToggleFullScreen --></appcommand></global></keymap>- Play/Pause button sometimes mutes the audio (when pressed after a longer inactive period), but this may be a bug in Kody 15 beta 2 that I'm using, Kodi debug logging shows keyboard key F8 pressed then PlayPause pressed. I just disabled F8 in Kodi by adding the following in userdata/keymaps/keyboard.xml:<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><keymap><global><keyboard><f8>noop</f8></keyboard></global></keymap>- The power button cannot be configured in Kodi, it's the same as pressing the power button on your PC (in Windows you can configure it to do nothing if you wish, so you avoid pressing it by mistake while watching a movie ... it's right next to the play/pause button)

This remote comes packaged in a neat little plastic case. You will be able to see through the case to the actual remote. On the left side there are a few products which are compatible with this remote such as Windows, Android TV Box, Smart TV, Projector and XBOX/PS3. Turn over to the back and you will see a few descriptions explaining some of the key features such as the touch pad.Firstly, I would like to highlight something that is stated on the packaging. On the back it says “Keyboard” however this is not a keyboard as it is just a smart remote, this may just be an error on the packaging.Once you open up the packaging you will notice that there are 2 AAA batteries included. I found this to be a plus because most mini remotes do not come with batteries and they require batteries to function. First impressions of the remote were good. Small enough to fit perfectly in the hand. Ergonomics are on another level with the remote. At the back there is a noticeable curve which underneath houses where the batteries would live. This curve also provided a grip when holding the remote.ON the front of the remote you would notice the branding at the bottom, above that there seems to be a microphone, which would be used to say voice commands to your TV or any other compatible device. There is also the navigational wheel with the OK button in the centre flanked by 4 buttons in each corner, home, menu, left click and right click. Above them there are the on/off, play/pause, volume up/down and page up/down buttons. And finally there is a noticeable touchpad at the top which takes up around 1/3 of the remote.Using the remote with my smart TV was an enjoyable experience. I simply inserted the USB receiver into my TV and waited for it to install and then I was ready to go! Web browsing came at ease with the touchpad, I could quickly type anything in or use the air mouse function to use movements choose keys.Overall in such a little package there are a lot of features which are extremely useful so I would recommend this to anyone in the market for a smart remote.

I wouldn't recomend. The back button doesn't work properly.

Absolut zufrieden mit dieser Fernbedienung. Funktioniert auch einwandfrei an einem normalen PC, Laptop oder dem Steam Deck.Auch wenn ich es primär für meine Raspberry Pi 400 verwende auf der LibreELEC läuft und die mit einem TV verbunden ist. Vor allem hallten Batterien extrem lange in diesem Gerät.Die Gyro Maus Funktion ist auch einfach super!

Inserté el "dongle" en una Raspberry 400 con Kodi y funciona sin problemas.Me gustó:- Pequeño y fácil de manejarNo me gustó:- El movimiento del ratón giróscopico es un poco complicado, porque si no estás apuntando hacia la televisión vas a tener que hacer giros extraños con la muñeca. Es cuestión de acostumbrarse, pero probablemente no vaya a usar el ratón.En general contento, aunque lo del ratón giróscopico no me da más. Si no lo tuviera también estaría contento.

Ho acquistato questo "air mouse" in quanto ho la necessità di comandare il pc mentre lo uso insieme alla tv, dal divano.In breve fa molto bene il suo lavoro, lo uso con Kodi (lettore multimediale) e va benissimo sia come mouse che come "tastiera".In dettaglio :CONFEZIONE 8All'interno della confezione c'è il telecomando, le batterie ed il ricevitore. Effettivamente non serve altro, al massimo una guida rapida sui tasti sarebbe stata carina.INSTALLAZIONE 10Personalmente l'ho collegato ad un pc dotato di Windows 10 e l'ha riconosciuto subito. Il ricevitore è piccolissimo quindi anche collegato ad una usb anteriore o di un portatile è praticamente invisibile. Essendo a onde radio non è necessario che il telecomando veda il ricevitore per inviare i comandi.HARDWARE 8Parlando del telecomando in se è leggerissimo. Volendo trovare un difetto è sbilanciato come peso nella parte posteriore, quella a contatto col palmo, ma è veramente un dettaglio da poco. L'impugnatura è molto solida, difficile vi scivoli inavvertitamente.I tasti presenti sono pochi, ma funzionali :- power : con windows 10 se premuto spegne il pc.- volume : comandi del volume del dispositivo- pgup e pgon : utile in Kodi o altro per scorrere velocemente- pulsante play/pausa- pulsante home : con windows 10 apre il browser di default- pulsante tasto destro/ back- pulsante menu contestuale- pulsante per "resettare" la posizione del mouse.Questo è molto importante. Il mouse si muove a schermo in base a come muovete il polso, esattamente come il controller della WII. Se però in partenza avete il puntatore spostato troppo a destra o sinistra, rischiate di dovervi slogare un braccio per fare movimenti utili, soprattutto se avete più schermi. Premendo questo pulsante il puntatore a schermo si blocca, voi potete posizionarvi dritti col telecomando e quindi riprendendolo sarete di nuovo allineati. Più difficile a spiegarlo che a farlo!SOFTWAREIl telecomando non ha ovviamente software a corredo, personalmente usandolo dal divano riesco tranquillamente a comandare Kodi, le app Netflix o Infinity e anche lo streaming da browser senza particolari problemi.Ovviamente se dovete scrivere serve avere una tastiera a portata di mano.In conclusione ottimo acquisto sia se avete un HTPC ma anche se ,come me, avete una televisione come secondo monitor collegata al pc.Funziona tranquillamente con più monitor.
