I purchased the Hon&Guan 6 Inch Inline Booster Duct Fan with Speed Controller to improve ventilation in my grow room, and it’s been a solid performer. I love to cook but hate the smell of a kitchen so when I remodeled I decided to upgrade my exhaust system and was not disappointed...I liked it performance so much I purchased a second one for my restroom....ton notch air movement and variable speed for different uses...very impressed 👍👍🤟🤟

First off this moves a nice amount of air. I hooked this up to my voiceover booth so it doesn't turn into a sauna during long voiceover sessions. The only problem is that past about half speed it gets too noisy and bleeds thru to the booth... but half way keeps enough air moving for me., and at this price point I'm not going to complain. The problem I have is that the remote cable with the on/off/speed control is not long enough to run inside the booth but I MacGyvered it by setting it at mid speed and plugging it into a WiFi plug so I can just have Alexa turn it on and off as needed even during a session.

Bought this to create a knockoff bed jet and it works great. This thing can move air and isn’t that loud when a window ac going and air purifier. It makes about the same noise. Great price out and very easy to setup. I really like the controllable speed. Does a great job cooling. I like the all black look. I would recommend this product.

Its been a great little fan....I have been running it nonstop since February of 2025...its not very loud at all...I use it for 3D printing

For the price its fine, but expect it to be fairly noisy, or at least the pitch of the sound being pretty annoying for the modest airflow it produces. It also has absolutely no static pressure ability (its a PC fan in a plastic tube) so any air resistance from even the most open of vent openings will reduce airflow and increase noise. If the low price is essential for you, its durable enough plastic and PC fans tend to last a long time so its decent enough. But if you need more airflow or have anything with even the lightest bit of resistance of flow (vents, some length of ducting, etc) its not very good.

Powerful and quiet. Added this to the hot exhaust air on a portable AC unit because it had a long duct length and was not cooling very well by itself. Now the AC unit owrks without a problem.

Update (1 year later)... One star deduction. The fan power supply died just short of 1 year. The fan started cycling on and off. I replaced the power supply with a 24 volt non-adjustable type and the fan is working great again. In fact, I like the air volume so much I just purchased the same model for my other son's room. The factory power supply runs extremely warm so I'm not expecting it to last. I'll be ready with a 24 volt model when it happens. I have a second floor bedroom used for PC gaming that gets unbelievably hot in the summer. Installing a booster fan in the 6" duct leading to that room mostly solves the problem. I had a 240 cfm all metal duct fan running for about three years that finally died. It was noisy and didn't seem to push as much air as advertised. This Hon&Guan model is a major improvement. Although being 100% plastic, it still easily mounts to the duct using aluminum duct tape. The claimed 345 cfm airflow is no lie. I plugged it in before installation and it rearranged all the papers in my kitchen. Compared to the twice as expensive home center metal duct fan, this one has 100 cfm greater capacity, half the power usage, adjustable speed and lower noise. My son gave me the thumbs up after a day of use. His room stays in the mid-70's (deg F) compared to 87-89 (deg F) without the fan. It is only activated when the furnace blower runs so it is not constantly on. If it lasts a few years I'll be very satisfied.

I'm writing because these units so far have worked incredibly well. I own three different models,..and a total of 14 units. I have 3 three of these 8 inch "Booster" models,..I am using these to clear the air where i live. Both intake air and out. Very powerful fumes are emitted by the upper tenants,..(This is Canada ) These units have been "Generally" going 24/7 at one speed or another, and even next to open windows all year round. I live in Milton, Ontario,..and we have many humid summer days, and Canadian winters,...more recently,.i accidently dropped one of these units, and it hit a pointed corner bathroom vanity top at the fan blade and broke the fan blade. i immediately contacted HON & GUAN at one of their email addresses,..explaining i had damaged the unit and would like to pay for replacement parts and/ repairs,...they asked me to email my Order # (Amazon) and WOW!,..WOW! again,..HON & GUAN were SO KIND,....THEY SENT ME A REPLACEMENT "FREE OF CHARGE" AND ALSO SENT ME AN ADDITIONAL 4 INCH MODEL AS WELL..WOW!,..WHAT A COMPANY.
