MITZONE Upgrade Aluminium Oil Cooler Filter Housing compatible with VW Jetta GTI Golf R Passat Audi A4 A3 TT TTS 2.0L Replace 06F115397K 06F115397J 06F115397H

Decided to replace with the Mitzone Aluminum Oil Filter Housing Assembly. No leaks, installed same as factory (only difference is you have to get the ECS hoses - Part ES#4000101) but well worth it knowing it's no longer plastic!

It looks like an amazing piece of casting! I would have felt very comfortable installing this on my car but unfortunately, the PCV breather hose connection was not machined completely as stated in previous reviews. I cannot install the ECS tuning hose in my state so unfortunately, it had to go back.

It didn't bolt on as easy as the oem, enough trouble where I thought the bolt pattern was definitely off but with a little wiggling I managed to bolt it down securely. You definitely have to swap out the oring for a size smaller on the connecting plastic line in order to connect or else I guarantee it won't go on. I'm very pleased with how it turned out though,I have no worries that it will remain sealed with no leaks even if I have to take it off ever again. The automaker should have made it from aluminum to begin with and this would have never been an issue to begin with. 100% recommended.

I had quite the issue with mine, I installed it and it leaked, pulled it out reset the gaskets. Tightened it down and it leaked again. Specs for these bolts are 15ns or 10lbs. Did this 3 times until I’ve had enough. Item just won’t seat or seal properly.I ended up buying the OEM put it in and no leaks on the first go around.

For the most part, this is a well built unit, however, there was attention to machining detail that was overlooked.PCV breather hose connection was not machined completely, oem spec is 23.5mm tapered to 23mm.Manufacturer machined 23.5mm to a depth of 6mm, which left a sharp ridge for the o-ring seal to catch on and prevent seating of the breather hose.Had to take to a machine shop and pay 150 to have the fitting completed.I have to assume considering the overall quality of the unit that this was a manufacturing quality control oversight. Before you install this, check the breather hose and make sure that it will seat on the fitting, if not, you may have to have yours machine also.

It works great. And the mold is 100% for the housing, except for the pvc pipe. As others have said too. Make sure you buy the ECStuning silicon hose to replace the plastic pvc pipe as it will not seat correctly. Quality product though.

The media could not be loaded.  As stated in the other reviews, you do need to eitherA) Purchase the silicon hose with hose clamps to replace the plastic hoses as they do not fit within the oil housingORB) Get the inside of the nipple for the plastics hose to fit machined smooth.I went with option A and Im satisfied.Also make sure to replace the gaskets when doing so, my gasket it came with was weak but I already had a good back up set to install it in.

Product needs refinement. For the one pcv hose connection it is not tapered like the original part so the square lip inside catches the oring and makes it impossible to install. Also having the oil cooler pre installed with loctite is an absolute joke because it has to be taken apart in order to install the oil filter adapter housing onto the block. Other than those 2 issues it looks good, it fits good and hopefully lasts longer than the stock plastic one.
