Great Soap. No Scent. NO TEARS!
UPDATE!!! The more I use it, the more I love it! My eye doctor said I have meibomian gland dysfunction, which is a fancy way of saying a have gummy tear ducts which cause dry eyes. He suggested washing my eyelids well in the shower and massaging them under the hot water spray. When I first used this soap to do it, I assumed it would burn. It's made from lye, after all. But to my surprise, this soap does not burn my eyes AT ALL! It's like using baby shampoo in my eyes! Now I literally scrub my eyelids every morning with this soap and a washcloth. Here's my original review: This is just good lye soap. There's no scent. I use it in the shower every morning and I even wash my hair and beard with it. One bar has lasted me a couple of months. I like that there's no scent. It's just no frills soap that does what it's supposed to do. Sure, you could buy some fancy man-soap that smells like gunpowder or bourbon... if you're a metrosexual. Or you can be a real man and buy some plain-ol' lye soap, like this.

I have looked for a sensitive skin soap for years. This is it.
I can't use soap, normally. My skin actually splits open at stress points if I use soap on too much of a daily basis. Or just gets that awful stretched taught feeling that hurts. Or I get so oily it's practically dripping from my skin, and I break out all over immediately following use. I did an allergy test and nothing. Been baffled about what the problem was. It seems like I try a new soap every week. (I only bathe with soap once a week). So I started looking into older soaps like the lye soaps, and after going to several different "natural" stores or markets and retail outlets, and reading the ingredient list for every soap they had, it seemed like it simply didn't exist anymore. Then I remembered I can look online and this seemed to be the most popular item to show up. So I read some reviews, and bought some. I was unconvinced about the people swearing about its healing powers, but the first time I tried it, I had scraped up legs from an adventure in the woods, and they hadn't been healing well for over a week. The morning after using the soap all of the scratches I had were mostly healed, overnight. That was cool. But even cooler was the fact that I could soap up, scrub down, rinse off, and my skin would feel comfortable and refreshed, no itching, no dryness, no outbreak, no oiliness, no pain, no discomfort, it was the first time I could feel comfortable in my own skin. The bars are really big. What I do is cut a cm slice off, like the same size as those little bars left for you in hotels, and I use that till its gone and then cut another slice off. That way I'm wasting less of it to erosion. I keep my working slice of soap in a sewing needle tin (DMC 61403 Magnetic Needle Case sold here on amazon, and similar can be found in sewing notions in some stores), and let it air dry for like 5 minutes after a bath or shower. I've never had a soap before that would dry so quickly, it's really nice. I use this soap for backpacking and camping as well. I have used it to wash dishes with....but if you find yourself in the freezing pouring rain, trying to wash your oily dishes with cold water away from your camp because it's bear season in Alaska, and all of the wood is so wet that you can't start a fire anyways and you don't have any more propane.....not a great idea. It really works best with at least some amount of warm or hot water to rinse it away. Be prepared to heat some water up if you're using it outdoors. It did not work for my hair. I read a lot of people say they could use it in their hair, I tried it, and it didn't work for me. It felt like it was coating my hair in something thick and heavy and wouldn't rinse out. But each to his own, everyone is different, and it served its purpose for me, as a body wash. Especially since I can take a slice in a tin for lightweight backpacking and use it for several weeks if needed, instead of carrying around a bottle of body wash liquid that can spill, or leak, is heavy, and will probably cause some irritation anyways. I may try other lye soaps, since this is the only one I've tried so far, first one I could find that didn't have any additives in it. But it will definitely be my go-to main soap.

This keeps my son's rosea under control
My youngest son was diagnosed with pityriasis rosea when he was little and this was the only thing that has kept his under control. We tried everything before, but since this we haven't tried anything else.

See all the 5 star reviews? That doesn’t happen often.
Sure enough, simple ingredients and unscented. Unlike my glycerine bar, It actually lathers. And unlike another bar, it doesn’t leave black streaks on the tile. I love how this soap makes my skin feel, squeeky clean; this is not a moisturising bar— it’s soap. I don’t know whose grandma makes it but imagine the entire Walton clan using it, Laura, Mary, and Pa Ingalls too. This is not vegan soap, nor does it claim to be, it’s pig fat and ashes. The size is nice for a shower and it lasts fairly long. Avoid having it sit in a pool of water. The packaging is fine. Although it’s not cheap, it is slightly less than a similar goats milk bar I purchased. It can sting your eyes slightly, getting the upper cheeks clean is a delicate maneuver. It does not sting anywhere else. See all the 5 star reviews? That doesn’t happen often.

It just WORKS!
Guys, this is literally the best soap ever!!! I can’t even tell you how many times I have now bought this because it just works. It’s simple, it’s clean, it gets you clean…. And hands-down, the only soap that truly removes all odors. I will never be without this!

Clean and soft - EXPENSIVE
I live in a super cold and super dry climate. This soap somehow leaves my skin feeling SUPER clean but not stripped. It feels moisturized and soft but not oily. Doesn’t leave me feeling like I have a film on my skin. I NEVER use soap on my face because it’s too drying and leaves a film and just feels yucky. BUT - I tried this on my face and use it everyday now. I won’t have to buy special cleaners anymore. I don’t see myself going back to other soaps or even body wash again. I really like this stuff. Btw: I’m an old broad. 45. It’s gentle enough for my dry, thinning skin. But gosh darn this stuff is expensive!

This soap saved me.
Thank god for this soap. No smells. No colors. No moisturizers. Just plain old soap. I am one of those folks that, in my adult years, has become allergic to everything in the soap/personal products industry. Maybe it was the fact that I talked to much in class. Perhaps it was the way I didn't do my homework. Maybe, deep down, I somehow deserve the allergy. All that aside, this soap has made me a normal human being again. I take showers now without hives, redness, and the overall feeling I am going to pass out. This has changed things. I am a better human being, I hold the door for elders. I treat my girlfriend better and she appreciates that I don't smell. This soap can make your skin a little dry, but lets remember folks. This is simply soap. It won't cure cancer, or leave you with a supple glow. The bars DO seem to last forever, and the lather might not be as thick if you are used to chemical soaps, but I am just as clean when I exit the shower, ready to take on the world. Clean yourself people. Get out there and do it.
