Eucalan Delicate Wash - Natural Unscented Small 3.3oz/100mL Bottle

I wouldn't use anything else on my wool sweaters and delicates. Cleans so effectively and doesn't leave that sweet smell of the "other" product (you know which one I mean.) You don't even need to rinse it out. There is even a travel size bottle option. Excellent, excellent product.

This is great. I read great reviews on a knitting store's website and thought buying it on Amazon would be a better idea so I don't have to pay shipping. Let me tell you, this stuff works! I've had a few accessories I've been unable to wear for a while now because the yarn is hand wash only. I'm so happy because now they feel even softer than before and they no longer smell like me haha. I did not use my sink for this, I used a bucket. It worked out just fine. My only gripe is that I wish the eucalyptus scent were available, as I've heard it helps keep moths away. But from what I've seen it must be popular because it is sold out every time I check. Anyways, I'm not done with this bottle yet but when I am ill definitely invest in the larger size so I can make more woolens without fear of destroying them when they need a wash.

Very small bottle

This works really good. I've started thrifting some wool items. I have a process for bringing them in my home which includes putting them in a plastic bag and freezing for a couple of weeks just in case of moths/moth larvae. Then, I wanted to wash them. I don't feel dry-cleaning is really warranted for these inexpensive, yet sometimes valuable, thrifted items so I got this small bottle to try the product. It works great! It makes the water dirty, and my thrifted Pendleton "dry clean only" shirts or sweaters or even throws clean. I LOVE the lavender scent. The lanolin content seems to work and soften the wool back to basically as-new, still a little scratchy because it's wool but not nearly as bad as dried out old wool. It seems to clean well. Sometimes an item will require a multiple washings but I believe that is related to the dirtiness of the item rather than the strength of the product. I just basically run the item through multiple hand-washes until the water still looks clear after the washing. I am hand-washing in my laundry utility sink, not using the machine... though I may try the front-loader I have eventually. All-in-all I really like this product and I will certainly order a large bottle before this little one runs out. Oh, it only needs about a tsp or so per gallon of product so, a lil' dab'l do ya! That does make it seem expensive but really it's not very much considering how concentrated it is and how many uses/washes there are in a bottle.

A little of this cleanser for hand washing goes a long way. Its cleaning ability is very effective. Please don’t think the instructions for use of this are misleading, even though they say to use only one teaspoon. The concentration of one teaspoon is enough. The lavender scent is not too sweet. It’s the kind of lavender that smells close to pine trees. This arrived well packaged so there wasn’t any leakage. For $6.00 and some cents, this is an excellent value for the money.

My adult children grew up with multiple New Zealand sheepskin “rugs” to nap and play on, and we still have most of them. Not surprisingly, when one of my daughters had her own baby last year she got him one of his own. After his had been machine washed with a “delicate” laundry soap for woolens a couple of times, the skin side was no longer supple and was more like cardboard, and the fur wasn’t as soft as it once was. After one machine wash (sans rinse) in warm water with Eucalan lanolin, and even tumble dried to a little drier than damp on very low heat, the skin is renewed and supple, and the fur is as soft as it should be. I purchased the unscented and it truly left no scent behind. I highly recommend this to anyone who needs to care for a natural sheepskin.
