Is this made in japan or made is USA?

All the items in the cup come from Japan but it is all combined in the US and put in the cups.

Does the curry have meat in it? From the pics it looks like chicken but it could be tofu.

It has pork sausage and chicken. The bits that look like meat you're seeing in the picture is potato.

Does this product require microwave preparation, or can you prepare it without microwaving simply by pouring boiling water into the cup?

It's a little bit spicy to me - I have geographic tongue and am extra sensitive. Not unbearable at all, and it's one of my favorite ramen flavors.

Tastes good!

I have always loved Cup O Noodles and this kind I never had before...the seafood. Makes a great quick meal. Its not spicy but you can always add spices to it... I like it as is. Its a nice sized cup, too. I can't eat it regularly because I am diabetic and the carb content is of course high. But they won't spoil and I can have them on hand if I want one. Very happy to have found these.

Good but is it worth the extra $??

I never tried the original before so I was curious how this will taste. 3 minutes of boiled water and I was excited to try it. First the smell is definitely different right out of the bat. I pulled out the noodles onto a plate right away so it's nice and cool. I tried it without hot sauce so I can taste the difference. The noodles itself is definitely on the softer side if you prefer this. Personally I'm used to the ones made here.But one thing I do prefer the original over here is the shrimps! I mean you can actually taste them which was unexpected. The broth/soup itself tasted better for sure. Although my stomach was acting up a bit afterwards so I don't know.. maybe I shouldn't finish the whole thing. oh well!Price wise they're definitely more expensive. I'm on the fence if I will buy more after I'm done with the initial 6 cups.

Still chock full o' salt and calories

This is fine for a lunch in a pinch. It's light and easy to transport to work. However, the nutritional values for the Curry flavor are inaccurate, and nonexistent in the description or pictures of the original. I'm pretty sure that's not... legal...So if you're not too worried about the sodium levels (over 60% of your rec daily intake) or that the protein amounts are off, as well as the calories (not sure why they're soft-pedaling the calories by 10), then dive right in. They're still cheaper than some ramen options and likely won't kill most folks with the stuff that triggered a Prop 65 warning (not even specified so I don't worry about those, anyway). But read other reviews to make sure this is what you want. I'm convinced I'll start making my own with all the shady info around the packaged stuff.

I keep at least one box at home at anytime

Best cup noodle! I work late at night a lot. This cup noodle is a life saver, just the right amount. Easy to prepare, just add boiling water or put in microwave for couple minutes. Value for money is also great.
