I am actually obsessed with this product. I suffer from OCD and have a lot of unhealthy compulsions, including really bad food noise surrounding candy. This safe is large enough to fit my poor habits into (candy, vape pen, mirror & tweezers for picking, etc) and more. My compulsions aren’t strong enough for me to physically break open the safe, so this was the perfect crutch to help aid in breaking my habits. I love the look of the wooden/white combination and it is very aesthetically pleasing to look at in my living room. Set up was easy and the instructions were simple to follow. The safe feels sturdy and so far I’ve had no issues with it. I love that there is a countdown before the safe officially locks, in case you made a mistake with your input. I highly recommend this product and am excited to see where I’ll be a few months from now after using it.

Needed a lockbox to curb my habits and I think I've found the perfect one. The material is sturdy and as far as I can tell, completely tamper-proof. The digital screen is easy to navigate and gives you some time (15 seconds) to cancel the locking if you change your mind. The best feature though, are the different modes that you can put the box in. You can do the standard time-gated lock, which can be unlocked if needed with a passcode. Then the Fortified mode which requires you to contact support to get the passcode. If you have a habitual personality like mine, this is probably the best one. It gives you that extra layer of security, and also the time to think "Do I really need what's in this box right now?" Obviously, you shouldn't put things that are for emergencies in this mode, and the instructions state this. The customer support does take some time to respond with the passcode, not sure if that's intentional (to help curb your habits) or not, so I can imagine some people being annoyed by this. Overall, I'm pleased with this purchase

I have no willpower to get off my phone sometimes. This has been really awesome!! I have such peaceful mornings when I know getting on my phone is simply not an option. It’s crazy how much calmer I am!! My anxiety is MUCH lower. If you feel like you’re on your phone too much and are on the fence, I would say go for it!!! Pros: - great value, does the job. Doesn’t feel like it’ll break easily or anything. No reason to spend more than this imo - has little holes on the bottom that you can string a charger through to charge it while it’s locked up. I don’t think this was the intended purpose of the holes but I use them for that and think it’s nice. - easy to use timer/locking mechanism. Only cons: - the little emergency code to bypass the timer is too easy to memorize. I sometimes need my phone for work so I dont feel comfortable using the fortress mode. I memorized the bypass code the first time I had to use it and now I think it’s slightly more tempting to just punch it in really quick haha. Wish I had the extra step of having to read it to deter me but Not a huge deal at all. It might be possible to change it, but I haven’t tried. I kinda think you can’t. But yeah I would say try your absolute hardest to not look at it for as long as possible lol. But also, once you get kinda used to not using your phone, it gets a lot easier to resist. - it’s a bit small. It can fit several of any type of phone but no other type of device. Now that I have it and love it I kinda wish I had one that can fit my gaming controllers too. That’s kinda my fault tho for not just getting a bigger one. if you only want it for your phone(s) it’s the perfect size. If you’re getting this for gaming then definitely get a bigger one.

I wanted to leave this review to hopefully help someone else who may be struggling with the same thing. I’ve personally used this lock box to help me break a problem with adult content online and with going to adult establishments, and it has honestly been one of the most useful tools I’ve found. My biggest struggle was usually at night. I don’t have Wi-Fi at home and use the hotspot on my phone, so I started putting my phone in the box in the evening and locking it until morning. That way, during the hours when I was most likely to watch adult content, the internet simply wasn’t available to me. It helped enough that I bought a second box and keep it in my car. If I’m driving home and start feeling tempted to go somewhere I shouldn’t, I can lock my phone away before I get home and remove some of that access and temptation. Obviously, everyone’s system will be different, and you could use this for social media, gaming, food, shopping, or all kinds of other habits. But for me specifically, it has been a really important tool in helping me change my environment around adult content and sexual temptation. It’s not a magic fix, but if you’re serious about changing a habit, this can be incredibly helpful. Five stars and definitely recommended.

It does what it says. I REALLY wish it had a clock timer instead of or as well as the countdown timer. I'd much rather set it for 8pm or something rather than have to figure out the time I want it open and do all kinds of Beautiful Mind John Nash calculations to get the countdown timer to match with the time I want it to open. But other than that, it's pretty good. Nice size, so fare no issues with lock or anything.

I can’t believe I never thought to look up something like this earlier, lol. It’s a perfect lockbox for anything you need to store away from yourself or from your kids. You can put it on Standard Mode or Fortress Mode for up to 23hours(I think that’s the max time anyway). Standard mode- you’re able to open it if you need to. Fortress Mode- you’re not. Lol. There’s a 15 minute countdown after you select how long you want it to be locked for & whether you select Standard or Fortress but just know if you put it on Fortress mode- you’re not going to be able to get it opened & that may be exactly what you need this for, lol. However, if there’s a chance you may need to actually get into it, don’t put it on Fortress mode because if you do need to get into it & it’s on Fortress mode, you’ll have to contact customer service & they could take 24hrs or so to get back to you. Overall- this thing is badass & exactly what I’d been needing. The battery life is great, no alarm sounds on it, & honestly this is more for people that are really building their willpower etc which is excellent. I love all of Mindsight’s stuff. It’s also an excellent value for the money & easily portable.

I like how the product removes "phone" as a default option. I mostly use the fortress mode at night to wind down before sleep + not automatically reach for my phone if I wake up in the middle of the night. The product is hands-on. The instruction is quite clear, although I needed some time to get used to it (mostly the differences between the three modes). The cap is a bit weird: you kinda need to "slide" it out rather than close it directly. Even if you don't normally use the lock function, I find it useful as a "fixed storage spot" for the phone (I leave it EVERYWHERE, so it saves time since I don't have to keep searching for it). Also, I agree with what the other user is saying—it's an awkward size...It's big for a phone, but too small to fit a laptop in. And if I want to travel with it (which I intend to do), it becomes too big again. My recommendation would be to pair it with a physical alarm clock—this really REMOVES the doom-scrolling thing in the morning. Aside from the family time the company advertises, this product works well for a WFH professional like me. Side-note: props to the team for their CTA email that led me to leave this review, which I rarely do.

I am extremely disappointed with this product. I bought the Mindsight Timed Lock Box specifically because it advertised a “Fortress Mode,” which I understood to mean that once the timer was set, the box could not be opened until the time expired. That is not how this product works. When I got the device and read the instructions, I found out that you can email the company to request an override code for Fortress Mode. That completely defeats the purpose of buying a timed lock box in the first place. This was not clear from the marketing, and it is a huge problem for anyone buying this because they genuinely need an unavoidable barrier. For someone using this to manage compulsive behavior, addiction, medication control, or anything else where access needs to be truly restricted, an override code makes the product functionally worthless. The whole point is that you should not be able to get around it in a moment of weakness. If an override code exists, I guarantee you can find it somewhere without contacting the company. Other competing products offer truly undefeatable timed locks. This one does not. Calling it “Fortress Mode” feels misleading when there is still a way to bypass it by contacting the company. I would NOT recommend this product to anyone looking for a real timed lock box. If you need something that cannot be opened early, look elsewhere.

Can anyone help me step by step on how to activate and set the time in Fortress mode, it seems that whenever I want to confirm the time at the end of the setting it cancels the whole setting and returns again to a point of zero which is very frustrating since I know the normal cancel code I need a stricter mode than Standard lock pattern

Excellent. I still use a software app to help me stay focused when I need to be online but when I need to just focus, this is just better. I wish I would have known about it years ago. If you're serious about being productive or just fed up of mindless scrolling, this will really help.
