Shoes designed to fit your feet
I have large rectangles for feet. So normal athletic shoes always cramped my toes and over the past few years, this has caused ingrown toenails. I needed a new pair of shoes for walking around in summer weather and really enjoy this brand's barefoot style shoes so figured I'd give them a shot. After wearing them for a few days and about a dozen miles I have to say they are the most comfortable shoes I have worn and my toes don't feel squished. So if you have wide feet and are looking for function over style, these are great shoes. Will try to update in a few months to see if they last, but given the price, I'd buy them again if they give me at least 6 months of use.

Good walking shoes - short life
I would have given these five stars, but the tread has worn down after only five months. They are comfortable. My duck sized feet have plenty of space. They are great walking shoes. These arenโt meant for anything more rugged. I would t jog in them either.

12W excellent for cycling
Great for riding a hybrid bike for workouts. The flat sole grips the pedals well, and itโs stiff enough not the buckle under force. 12W is very comfortable and true to size.

Nice wide fit, not quite as flexible as major "barefoot" brands
Very nice wide fit, especially in the toe box, zero drop but with some mild toe spring, slightly more stack height than in a very minimalist "barefoot" shoe, seems fine for high or low volume foot. No arch support in the thin insole, which is removable. Doesn't seem quite as flexible as a normal barefoot shoe when actually worn, although I can bend it by hand just fine. Barefoot shoe shoppers may appreciate that lack of arch support ( to let the foot strengthen and do the work ). I added a new insole with just a little bit more arch support. Will be used for walking and not running. Cannot speak to durability yet. Excellent price. Looks good imho. Overall quite good as a "barefoot transition shoe" or as a "not-quite barefoot shoe" if that's the type of shoe you need. Update after a month or two: after walking around in them a lot more, they seem a bit firm and less flexible than the popular barefoot brands. A little more stack height while not being flexible and not being cushioned. Not quite sure what use case that is best for. I'm using them just to change it up for my feet, but I don't think I could wear these all day or for running.

Super Comfortable Casual Shoe
This is exactly what I wanted: it's a casual shoe like something from Skechers, but has the toe box of an Altra, and costs a fraction of either. I dig the look and I plan to use them for walking, work, and general casual use. I wanted something that I could potentially wear all day without discomfort and these seem perfect for that. The build quality is good, not excellent. It uses a faux suede material around the eyelets that looks a bit cheap. The toe box uses a formed knitted material which doesn't seem to be especially breathable (my "light test" showed very little light getting through) but it looks nice. There's a reflective strip with the logo on it, which I like. Compared to my expensive Altra running shoes and my Reebok cross-trainers, those shoes rely more on plasticky bits held on with glue. The overall quality of the Whitins is not far off the mark. The rubberized sole might be the first thing to wear out, as it's not especially thick. But compare that to Skechers which often go with a cheaper, less durable foam sole, and the Whitin soles look durable by comparison. If you plan to run in these, keep in mind that these are zero-drop shoes and while they have padding, it's probably not enough for people who run on their heels. It's best for fore/midfoot runners. It's really impressive that you can get something that looks nice and feels this good on your feet for such a low price. Fit: I'd go 1-1.5 sizes down from your usual. I wear 11.5-12 men's, and the 11 fit me best here, with a little room to spare.

Comfortable and well made for the price, though didn't work out for me.
I'm a recent convert to non-minimalist wide toe box shoes. I was impressed with these for the low price in terms of comfort and materials - even the laces were quite nice - but I couldn't resolve heel slip without that extra top eyelet that sits closer to your ankle. I have a lower volume, flatter foot and my ankles are probably the only non-hefty thing about me. My SOLE insoles and wide PowerSteps both fit in these shoes well. The factory insoles were easily removable. Good about of support and cushion from the sole, more than a padded minimalist shoe but not as much as my Topo Trailventures. Firmer like the Nortiv 8 shoes, but not as thick.
