We have been buying these for years as they are the only treats our cat will eat. They have consistently been of excellent quality, and we certainly hope that they continue to be so.

As we all know, freeze dried treats are expensive. Of course I got my cat addicted to them. I bought this brand once because it would arrive faster than the purebites. Well, my cat started putting her nose in the air and just walking away when I tried to give her pure bites. She would come back and meow till I got off the couch and grabbed these. They come in a sealed airproof package inside the bag you see here for freshness. They have 1 ingredient for the cats health. Since they sealed in the airtight package, they don't seem to get crushed as much. The size of the pieces are great. There are some pieces I think are a little to large for my cat, so I do cut them..

Have elderly cats with health issues that won't always eat well. I have started crushing these hard snacks in a small electric coffee/seed grinder & sprinkling a very tiny amount of the resultant powdered snack on their canned cat food if they will not eat. Works like magic. They also love the turkey & chicken treats so I do the same thing with them as fish too often is not really good for cats. A bag lasts a long time when used for this purpose as you really do need only a tiny bit on the food to get the cats to eat. (They have a great sense of smell & they really think they love even their not so preferred foods with a tiny sprinkling of this on top.) I also like that these are 100% human-grade real fish (or meat.)

This product was awesome previously, very clearly chunks of actual fish, easily broken apart into smaller pieces for feeding. This last order I received was very different. It appears to be a processed mush of fish where the finished product is very uniform in shape and hard as a rock. I tried cutting them into smaller pieces for my cats, but they are having trouble chewing it. I won't buy this product again and I have a new bag just opened and one unopened bag, both not returnable and at $30+ each, a big loss. If they go back to the former product, I would consider buying again, but this product is not good.
