We eat dinners in the family room while watching a movie and sit on an old couch with a coffee table that raises to table height. I am 77 years old and sitting on the worn and flattened cushions of the couch was causing pain in my hips so that it was difficult to walk for a bit when I got up from the couch. By the end of a 2-hour movie, my legs were uncomfortable, beginning to ache, and felt like the blood supply was cut off from them because the couch cushion flattened so that the frame of the couch was hitting the back of my thigh. Since we haven't found time to get out to find a replacement couch, I turned to Amazon to find a temporary solution. I ordered this "butt cushion" in addition to 4 others in hopes that one of them would relieve the discomfort of sitting on our couch. I wanted something firm enough to overcome the flattening of the old couch cushions, but, it trying the different cushions, I found that shape and size is also important. Since I weigh 112 lbs., most of the cushions I ordered were firm enough, but the support offered by each was different. Some flattened after a short time, and some just weren't very comfortable because of the shape. This cushion is more expensive than the others I tried, but saving money at the expense of less comfort wasn't an option. I have been using this cushion every night for over a week, and no longer have the hip pain when I get up from the couch. The leg discomfort is also gone. The 4 other cushions have been returned. Since I weigh 112 lbs., I can't vouch for how this cushion would hold up to more weight, but it works for me and I am happy with it. UPDATE 07/30/24: I have been using this "butt cushion" every evening for at least 3 hours for the last 2 months, and I wouldn't want to do without it. In this time, it has not flattened at all, is very supportive, and perfectly fits the contour of my butt and thighs so I no longer get pains in my hips and legs from sitting on our old couch. You would think that finding a suitable cushion to sit on would be an easy task. In my experience of trying different cushions, I found that the perfect cushion is a very personal thing. Not only does it have to supply a comfortable firmness for support, but it must conform to your individual "butt contour". It is often necessary to try more than one to find the one that is perfect for you. This cushion is all that for me. UPDATE 12/16/24: I have now been using this cushion on my couch to sit on for over 6 months. It is still as supportive as it was when new, and has not flattened at all. Since using it, I have not had pains in my hips or legs after sitting on the couch. The cushion is so comfortable, we have put off getting a new couch. I suppose this is the only down side to having a comfortable cushion to sit on. I hope this review was helpful for you.

This is the fourth one I’ve bought. After a disc herniation in my tailbone, I need a donut seat like this in the car and on hard chairs; however, I use a different seat for my desk chair, which I need to be more structured for 8 hour stretches of time. It really helps with the pain I have by avoiding instigating the pain too much. It doesn’t avoid all of the pain, but it does a good job. The material is soft, which is pleasant, and the cushioning is also very soft and moldable. It will accommodate your anatomy. It’s comfortable to sit on for hours at a time. That said, I would not recommend something this cush/pliant for something you’re going to sit in for more than 3-4 hours or something that needs to be more ergonomic, like your work desk. The moldability of its shape, since there’s no structure to it, makes it great for car seats because it will bend to fit. I can see it being good for camp chairs too. The pillow is super comfortable, but it does degrade with use. If you use it all the time, you’ll need to replace it pretty often (4-6 months), which isn’t great because of the price, but that’s just the cost of not being in pain. If you only use it maybe an hour a day, it’ll last more like 9-12 months. Eventually it’ll just feel like you’re sitting on a thin cushion and it’ll smush out when you sit on it. I’ve bought three gray ones and I like them well enough. I’m trying out the black color now, and I don’t have much to comment on at this point. The gray color is perfectly fine. The seat is light enough to carry around pretty easily, but it’s an awkward shape (all donut seats are), so it’s awkward to carry around. There are no adjustable features. It’s just a pillow, but I like it a lot. I highly recommend this specific cushion, especially if you have a tailbone injury. I do think that it’s worth the price.

I absolutely love this cushion relief pad! It provides excellent support and makes sitting for long periods so much more comfortable. Honestly, I feel like I sit for a living. I was a little skeptical about this cushion but it really does make a difference. I find myself moving it from seat to seat I use throughout the day. It has helped relieve some hip pain. I’m not a small person and the regular sized pillow works well. I would bet the larger one would be even better. I would like to buy at least one more for home. The cushion feels really well made and I like the grips on the bottom, it does not slide when I sit on it. I am a little short (5’1” and a little) and it does add some inches to the height of the chairs which isn’t great because I can barely get my feet flat on the floor in almost any chair I use.

Way comfy. Fits nicely in my desk chair. Gives me the little boost I needed to make it easier to get up out of it. Keeps my rear from getting sore. Exactly what I needed.

I'm a 220 lb male with a wide derriere and this seat cushion works great! I work from home and already have a hardwood chair to use for my desk setup. I didn't want to spend a ridiculous amount for an ergonomic office chair (steelcase/herman miller) so I decided to give this a try. I can sit all day and not feel sore on my bum, at all! It's been over a year now and I think it's still as comfortable as day one. To me, Cushion Lab seems like a reputable brand vs the million other unrecognizable Chinese brand versions. Yes, you pay a little more, but you're getting a CertiPUR-US certified high quality dense memory foam. Note: I initially thought I could dual use this product, bringing it on long haul flights but it's too bulky. Not a negative, just wanted to point it out. Also, the product listing says 210 lb is the upper limit but I find it comfortable for my weight.

I work in finance and sit for about 9 hours of my typical 10 hour day. I could stand sure, but then it makes typing awkward... it sounds silly but someone who works in a cubicle for long periods would understand. Anyhow, office butt is a real thing and it just becomes incredibly uncomfortable. To combat, years ago I bought a cheap chair cushion from Amazon that had that funky blue logo and it was... it was okay and what I expected. YEARS down realizing that thing is blown out I jumped to google to find a replacement and now that im older, something im going to be comfortable in as my job isnt changing This shows up at a price I was willing to pay, the reviews, the recommendations was enough for me to say "fine, ill spend this kind of coin on a cushion." when in reality, I sit on my chair probably longer than I sleep in my bed or stand in my shoes and I value those greatly. This comes in, professional packaging and initial glance I didnt see why it was expensive until I put my cheeks in it. The closest feeling I can relate, is like sitting on a brick of cream cheese. It fits perfectly, there is nothing but comfort and I havent shifted in my chair since sitting. I was so shocked I had my cubicle neighbors try it out and each of them was shocked and even a few of them placing an order for their own on the spot. Im not sure the can of worms im opening with HR, as plenty of people feel this should be an HR expense but whatever. Within an hour I ordered the back lumbar support because yeah I felt the discomfort in my hamstrings, my money makers and legs but maybe my back is in pain and I dont know? This is great

After losing 135 lbs I guess you could say the padding went away too around the tailbone. I now was having substantial tailbone pain when seated after just a few minutes. Since I work at a desk all day, life has not been fun. Seeking relief, I purchased a Purple seat cushion, which although squishy, did nothing to relieve the pain. I searched Amazon for an alternative and landed on this. With thousands of positive reviews, what did I have to lose? I questioned my decision when it first arrived and I saw the thickness of the cushion. I believed it would make the back of my thighs hurt since it stops in length about mid thigh. I was wrong. I have used it for two days now. I have had no pain or discomfort. Today, I did not budge from my desk for 7 hours. Again, no pain. I plan to purchase another to put in my car for trips. It is well worth the price.

This cushion has lasted several long years. It has gradually compressed but still offers enough shock absorption for sitting. I recommend it.

Good quality and materials

I have tried different seat cushion before with different material, this material seem to be the most supportive. I bought 31 for myself and two for gifts all positive feedback the only negative part is the price seems to be too high. Also, there should be quantity discount.
