I bought it to use on a golden gate swim but the event was cancelled so I never actually used it. Maybe next year!

Eye-Catchingly Bright and Worked Perfect for my Wife's First Tri
I got this item for my wife who recently competed in her first sprint-distance triathlon. She had been using a borrowed buoy from somebody else during practices but needed her own for the event. This buoy arrived quickly, was incredibly easy to inflate manually, and set-up/adjusted effortlessly. This buoy was just as nice as the one she had borrowed and my wife is happy to have her own. I expect it to last for quite a long time since the material feels thick and durable. It's only a few dollars and could save your life so if you're swimming in open water you should definitely pick one up!

You can get better for less $$
Shop around for this item. It's currently $15.99 and I have another one that sells for $11.99 and is better overall. See the image where this unit (left side in image) has you tie the strap to the carry handle. The unit on the right (the less expensive unit) has 2 rubber loops to keep the strap secure, out of the way of the grab handle, and keeps the buoy from flipping on it's side better. The construction of the less expensive unit also appears that it will be more durable.
