is it a powder to mix with water or is it granules to be brewed?

No powder but tasty granules I use no filter I put a large teaspoon or two into a cup pour spring water in it and cook it up in the microwave I know I should probably brew it but its fast and works! a little stevia and almond milk or just black it's all good!

Definitely NOT gluten-free. It has a lot of barley and rye; even though you are not eating the barley and rye, the liquid in it contains gluten. If you read the description, it has 9 ppm of gluten, NOT 0 ppm of gluten. In my book, gluten-free = 0 ppm. Celiacs like me, will get gluten rashes from this drink. I had to throw out my bag! It was a waste of $$$.
