Reliable
I bought this drive ,WD 2TB Purple, in August of 2017. It has now been running 24/7 storing IP camera footage for nine years, non stop.Its currently serving 5 cameras. It's way past its warranty period but Crystaldiscinfo says it's still good to go. Very happy I went with this drive.

Easy to install and format. Upgraded easily
Used this video drive to repair and double the capacity on a Humax box when the drive failed. 20mins start to finish

WD Purple 2Tb Surveillance HDD
Can't beat these 7200 RPM WD HDDs for reliability. Tried the 5400 RPM units but they don't appear to last long on a 24/7 cycle.

Failed after just 10 months of use!
I fitted this to my CCTV system thinking it was going to give me long service life? It lasted 10 months!! I need to get around to returning this for a replacement?

NOT GOOD VAULE
Bought this hard drive for my CCTV-DVR on May 19th 2019 , Since first installed has been a very noisy scratching sound from it for a quality hard drive you do not expect this, Within 1year 7 months total failed and caused my DVR power supply to Surge and causing more complications with in the DVR, which will now cost me double the amount to fix all issue this hard drive has caused, Will be very reluctant to ever buy this product ever again,

In marcia nell' NVR h24 da più di un anno.
Avevo già il fratello minore da 2Tb da più di 1 anno in funzione all'interno di un NVR Dahua. Adesso ho aggiunto questo da 4Tb e presumo di ottenere le stesse prestazioni e affidabilità. Mai trovato un settore danneggiato.

Fonctionnement impeccable depuis plusieurs mois dans un NAS
Placé dans un NAS mono disque , il fait parfaitement sont office et est très fiable, très peu de bruit un disque idéal surtout pour ses qualités de résistance à la durée et à une utilisation importante. Je le recommande pour tout placement dans des NAS mono ou multi disque.

Ich kann die 5-Sterne-Bewertungen eigentlich nur bestätigen: Die Festplatte versieht ihren Dienst seit Monaten, ist unhörbar, zuverlässig und mäßig temperiert ... Daneben habe ich für das System eine SSD, wobei die HDD die Daten bestens hütet und zur Verfügung stellt. Klare Kaufempfehlung!
