Does the lightning patches work like the other ones too and just have extra ingredients or are these different entirely?

Yes, I have tried for post acne redness, unfortunately it didn't help at all. But this product is not meant for this. It really helps the length of time a pimple needs to come to the surface. An otherwise cyst becomes a simple pimple.
