Café Stal Belmont 12 Cup Double Walled Cafetiere Coffee Maker, Mirror Finish, 1.5 Litr,HFD-12

Bought this as I wanted a large cafetiere for me and the husband's coffee habit! This holds 1.5l of coffee which stays warm due to the double skin. There have been no coffee grains getting through. It's easy to clean and looks sleek and classy. Holds 4 large mugs of coffee.

This is good and it does keep coffee hot but not for as long as you imagine. In a midwinter kitchen 45 minutes is about it. After that I would say warm was a better description but if you've got people coming down for breakfast every 5 minutes or so then its ideal. Capacity is good but its around 10 small cups or 5 - 6 breakfast cups maximum. Nice looking pot and good strong handle. I'm not displeased.

Insulates well, good capacity, plunge is strong, less fiddly to clean than smaller ones. But quite large!Visually it's quite nice, though resembles a canteen item given it is big and stainless steel.

Disappointed. Don't know if it is fitted with the incorrect plunger but it is 5cms(2inches) short and doesn't reach anywhere near the bottom. The lid is very lose and has no indicator to show that it is turned to the optimum position for pouring.

Item arrived covered in dents.Returned.

Stylish, effective coffee pot. Difficult to know how much water you've put in - trial and error until you get used to it.

Worked well out of the box, great pour action. However the weld at the spout fractured and the vacuum was rendered useless. It hissed when hot water was poured into it and the cavity filled up with water. Kind of pointless really, so I returned it and got the single wall stainless steel cafetiere, which isn't as well made but isn't going to break anytime soon.

Looks good and does the job!!
