So many epic gems!
If you're looking to start a content marketing program or stomp on the accelerator of your existing program, this book is fully of amazing insights and helpful tips. Joe Pulizzi and Brian Piper help you understand how to use all the various channels at your disposal, generate content, measure success, and much more. While the book is full of great tactical advice, I most appreciate the foundational strategic advice that prevents expensive structural mistakes, such as building too much of your content program on the "rented land" of social media instead of more stable channels like your website, email, and SMS. I also loved the chapters on Web3 and the future of content marketing.

Great book to set you up for content success
Bits and pieces of this book I knew well, but they tied it all together so brilliantly. I’m about to start a new content job, and I can’t wait to use this book as a guide on where to start!

Fundamental Truth
Love the initial evergreen focus and premise you introduced: Your customers don’t care about you, your products, or your services. They care about themselves. Some things never change, and so many things are rapidly changing around us. Thanks Joe and Brian for helping us get regrounded as we forge forward!

Nothing special
Just a begginers overview of the content marketing plan. I really do not understand what all the hype is about. If you have experience in content marketing you will not learn anything new. Mediocre book all at all.

Actionable tips throughout, regardless of your experience as a Content Entrepreneur
I'm old-school when it comes to taking notes for business books. I use the highlighter feature on my Kindle, download the notes, transfer them to Word, drop the point size to 10, highlight the most actionable stuff, and print it out and put them in a notebook. In the case of a few books, I'm left with 10-12 pages of notes and a sea of yellow. Such is the case with Epic Content Marketing, 2nd Edition, by Joe Pulizzi and Brian Piper. If you're a fan of Joe's, you've heard much of what's covered in this book from reading his newsletters, other books like #ContentInc, and #ThisOldMarketing podcast. But the packaging of the ideas and the inclusion of Brian as a co-writer makes this a must-read if you communicate in any way.In my business, I help clients move prospects and existing customers through the sales pipeline with tools and long-form content that addresses customer pain points. I also help B2B executives communicate game-changing ideas to audiences hungry for a fresh POV.This book could put me out of business. That said, the book is already making me better at my job so on balance...If you're a #ContentEntrepreneur rookie, you can start at the beginning and read through the pages. I guarantee the book will be dog-eared before you reach the end.If you're experienced, just pick any of the 30 chapters that talk about an area where you could stand a refresher. One of my favorite reminders: "Don’t create content for content’s sake. Do it because you want your business to grow." This is particularly important at a time when services like #ChatGPT are making it increasingly easy to publish a bunch of banal, boring content if you're not being very strategic with them.Great book. Get it now and set aside whatever else you're reading right now

Beauty Eh?! This Canadian 🇨🇦 loves Epic Content Marketing
An amazing resource of understanding and tactics for the benefits of content marketing. What is that you might ask? Here it is at the core.‘Content marketing is the marketing and business process for creating and distributing content to attract, acquire, and engage a clearly defined and understood target audience - with the objective of driving profitable customer action.’That is their definition in the book. Now go buy it for yourself (and frankly, as a gift for any business owner you know, as they’ll thank you for this insight) to get all of the goods!Joe and Brian have done a wonderful job with this book and I’m a better content business person for having read it.Rob LeLacheurRoad 55
