Thomas & Friends Wooden Railway, Caitlin

A couple years ago, my son developed an obsession with Thomas and Friends so naturally we started collecting the trains! We decided to get the wooden trains and have built up quite the collection. My boy/girl twins are now four-and-a-half and both of them enjoy watching Thomas and playing with the trains. We got my son a train table,  KidKraft Waterfall Mountain Train Set and Table  and both of my kids like using it. My daughter had asked for some of the girl trains and she especially wanted Caitlin since it's similar to her name so we got her this one for a gift earlier this summer.Caitlin is an express engine and is often seen with Connor, another express engine from the Mainland. This Caitlin engine comes with both the engine and her tender, which are two separate pieces, linked together by magnets. The entire set measures about 7 inches long, 1 1/4 inches wide, and 1 3/4 inches high. Separately, the engine measures 4 1/2 inches long and the tender measures 2 1/2 inches long. Caitlin's name is printed on the sides of the engine as well as underneath both her engine and tender (I love this in case we were to ever forget who is who!). There are magnets on the fronts and backs of each piece so they can also attach to other engines, tenders, and cars. Caitlin has wheels on the engine and tender that actually move and the engine ones are made so she can easily make turns on wooden tracks. She is painted nicely and looks almost like she does on the show. There are a couple tiny differences on the front of the engine but nothing major. She is made in China and this particular one doesn't require any batteries. This Caitlin also doesn't make any sounds!My daughter loves her Caitlin engine! She plays with her quite a bit when my kids use the train table, which works really well with these trains, and sometimes she will just run her over all of the furniture. We've had trains like this for over two years and they hold up really well, considering ours get used a lot. We have so many of these trains and I have no doubts we will be adding more to our collection this year for Christmas and birthdays. If you have a Thomas fan, we love this series of trains and highly recommend Caitlin and the rest of them!

Nicely painted, quality wooden trains, exceeded my expectations for FP brand products.Noticed a few tiny chipped spots on some of the edges of the trains after about two weeks of play. Overall, it seems like they are going to hold up to hours and hours of train track play. They are absolutely loved by kids who are huge fans of Thomas and Friends.Caitlyn is an attractive Engine that makes a great addition to a train play set. She comes with tinder which is an additional train car that attaches magnetically.Wish that they were a little more affordable but sometimes you have to pay for quality, these will be the type of toys that can be handed down for another child to enjoy and love all the same.If I notice any additional significant issues in the long run with quality, I will add to this post, but so far I feel like they are going to be solid.

Package was damaged but otherwise the train itself was in excellent condition! Luckily my 3 yr old was so happy to get his new train he couldn't care what the package looked like- would have had a little harder time if it was a gift.The train is a genuine Thomas and Friends and not Chinese or any other issues that some of the other reviews mentioned.

My 4 year old son adores trains; among his favorites are the characters from "Thomas the Train." He recently received this "Caitlyn" train as a birthday present. The train exudes the superior quality one has come to expect from the Thomas the Train products. It's well made, and durable. I love the color, which is a red with a kind of pinkish undertone, very pretty. Caitlyn consists of two pieces, the engine and the tender. It works perfectly with the Thomas wooden railways as well as those by Chuggington and Brio, all of which we own. Caitlyn is a perfect addition to my son's Thomas the Train collection!

My 7 year old grandson asked for this for his birthday. He was super excited and pleased with all if it's moving parts. This is a toy I will be keeping to pass on through generations, as it is very well made. I has a Fisher Price wooden musical clock when I was a child and it still worked until my parents gave it away when I was grown and out of the house. (I still wish I had that cool clock 😏!

As with all of the others we've purchased, Caitlyn is excellent quality and stands up to the bumps and bangs inflicted by our 3-year old. The detailing is very nice; she looks just like she does in the movies, and the magnets work well (we've had issues with some magnets not being strong enough to stay coupled to other trains in our set). We were really happy that it came with her tender as well. I guess Connor will be the next one on our list. :)

Is a nice and sturdy train. My only gripe is 3 wheels are on the same block so it doesn't do turns very well.

Caitlin zeigt sich, wie auch Connor, erstaunlich stabil bei fast täglichen harten Einsätzen auf der Schiene und ohne. Meist muss sie Rennen fahren. Die Kinder lieben diese Lok, sie ist beim Eisenbahnspielen immer dabei. Für Thomas-Fans, die sie aus dem Film kennen, sicher ein Treffer, aber auch sonst ein gutes Spielzeug.

If your child enjoys Thomas and playing with the Wooden Railway sets, this is a nice addition to the collection. One thing to point out, the first set of wheels are somewhat fixed and then the last three sets of wheels are on one piece that moves. The older trains split the wheels by two rows on one block that swivels and then the last two on a different block that swivels.

孫に買いました。とても喜んでくれました。旧型の方が出来も良くて、新型にはなぜかコストダウンとデザイナーの自意識過剰な仕事をを大いに感じてしまう私ですから、これからも旧型製品を大事な孫には買ってあげたいと思います。

My grandson loves Thomas and Friends and I had bought Caitlin at Christmas but unfortunately he lost it and was upset. I ordered a replacement and it came very quickly and now travels everywhere with him. Excellent quality toys for little ones.
