I stormed through Elly's Dr Ruth Galloway series and now embarked on this series. Set after the 2nd world war and very different writing. The murders are more clever and very different to Dr Ruth. Very enjoyable and love the detail esp about Astarte! Enjoyable detective series, very readable

Enjoyable read, and follows many of the same characters through the series, but I preferred the Dr Ruth Galloway series

I am now on the 6th book and I have to say I have thoroughly enjoyed them. Usually I can pick our the murderer but due to the amount of 'misdirections' in each book, I've had to wait til near the end to find out who dunnit.

All six are brilliant stories but must be read in the correct order. Loved them all.

In the beginning, I was not going to finish. It was so slow. I am on book four and cannot put it down. If you can get through the first (you have to inorder to know all the characters), you will find each one going strong.

One of the best series Ive read but have been gravitating towards foreign writers. You won’t be disappointed.

Favorite mystery writer for the year. I have read all the Rugh G's and now this series. This series took a little longer to grab my attention, but by the third book I was hooked.

Her books are just excellent. Interesting, the french angle in this set. Would recommend.
