This was very easy to install. Loved that the paper backing was a graph. Made cutting easier. The only down side, I wish it was a little thicker.

Best I tried for paperback books
My daughter is a school librarian and i was helping her cover paperbacks. I ran our of the contact paper she gave me and bought some that didn't say it was glossy but was. Was very hard to cover without getting creases. This kind worked better than what my daughter had given me and the glossy kind for sure. Would recommend for covering paper back books.

I’d choose something else.
Let’s start with the good. It’s clear. Can’t even tell it’s on, and it is very smooth. When you can get it applied.Now, the rest. The paper backing is horrible to get off, the material doesn’t cut nice unless you are using a razor blade and some force. The stick power is almost non existent. It only sticks well to every little speck of debris floating through the air. The material creases, and will not come out even with a heat gun and squeegee. It’s very finicky. It does ok in corners, but was very difficult to get cut to fit.I needed this to cover a large, flat, previously prepped for installation/coverage area, ended up having to use the whole roll as the first section was an utter failure due to creasing and the paper backing not removing cleanly.I’d recommend for small areas or projects.Haven’t tested the “waterproof” capabilities yet, but I’m not expecting it to be very water (or food) proof.

Bad Quality
The quality is really bad! More than making my window matte finish, it made it foggy. The transparency is also very inconsistent and has a weird blue tint to it. So not buy if you intend to use it on something expensive, instead invest in something better.

Harder to install
I was expecting it to be clear and it’s not, was disappointed. I had ordered some before that was clear and thicker and did a great job on my sofa
