Not gin so what did I expect?
I was really excited for this product. I thought it would be healthier to have some sort of non-alcoholic version of a martini. I’ve had to dump it in the sink both times. It is very watery. I guess it’s just not for me.

Refreshing
Finished the bottle in a couple weeks after making gin and tonics. They were refreshing and delicious and just as good as am alcoholic g&t!

Not for me
I don't have much to say about it except that it really is not for me. Somehow they have emulated the smell of alcohol, but to me it both tastes and smells like some kind of topical ointment than gin. Not a fan, but that could just be me.

It evokes gin, but not a gin clone
I'll admit I don't drink a lot of gin drinks, mostly because of some bad decisions involving gin I made when I was much, much younger. So actually, for me, this might even be better than actual gin - because there's no danger of the same consequences I felt from those bad decisions of yore. ;)Upon first opening, this smells like gin. Drinking it straight, it definitely tastes weak or watery - I do not recommend trying to enjoy it this way. But mixed with either tonic or sparkling water (plain or flavored), it really opens up and evokes the essence of gin aroma and flavor. I'm going to experiment a bit more with mixing more complex drinks with it, but for now even a VirGin and tonic or seltzer is enough to make me feel like I'm enjoying an adult beverage without the alcohol.

At Least It Smells Like Gin
When I first opened the bottle and smelled it, I had high hopes for this. However, while I imagine some people might like it, it’s no substitute for the real thing. While it has some flavors reminiscent of gin, it doesn’t have the bite that real alcohol has and that’s what I felt was lacking. Without the alcohol, it just comes off as some weird flavored drink. The more you mix with it the better it tastes, but for me I just felt that in no way taste wise did it give me the satisfaction real gin provides.

No flavor my friends
Kinda misses the whole idea, you need flavor, taste that is.

Delicious!
Served this at a recent dinner party and it was a big hit! Excited to try the other products from Big Spoon.

It tries
This product requires refrigeration after opening. It looks a little cloudy now, but I don't know if that's from being refrigerated, I don't remember if it was clear before opening it. I did a side by side comparison with real gin, added tonic and a bit of lime. Real gin, also refrigerated, was not cloudy. BS VirGin smelled somewhat of juniper so you could tell it was trying, but the first thing that came to mind was shoe polish and pinesol. As a G&T it's drinkable, and again you can tell it's trying to be gin, but for me it just wasn't as smooth or pleasant. For someone who's given up alcohol by choice or because of medications, this might do, but might also make them wish they had the real thing even more.
