I've never purchased bottled ink before and I'm wondering if it's feasible to use the disposable ink cartridges included in the set instead?

Absolutely, using the disposable ink cartridges is very convenient. However, it's important to follow the provided user guide for proper installation. If you miss any details during the process, it might lead to installation issues. Once you get the hang of it, replacing the cartridges will be as simple as changing the refills for a regular pen.
