Nov 2023+Dec 2024+18-04-2025: My beard has always been thick, and I have been shaving with Philips rotary shavers (top of their range) for 30 years. This is the first time I have tried a Remington (X9), and I am so impressed! I could not imagine that shaving could be so smooth and precise. As for the current price, it's a bargain. 11-03-2024 update: I just bought a second one at the latest unbelievable price! I can have it in my travel bag and replace the second Phillips that I had in there. Try to shave near the nostrils with a Philips! Impossible! This does it beautifully! I would not change it for any Philips/other. Hint to people having trouble: if it stops working it is to protect your skin! Just plug it in for a few seconds and that resets it reminding you not to try and attack your skin again ;-) If it keeps doing it, it is reminding you to clean it with its brush and some cleaning/other fluid esp. if you are using oily lubricants to shave. Then reset it by a few seconds charge and it will be as good as new. I have been using the same blades for 2 years and they feel as new.

Had an X7 been good so now gone an X9 Good shaver

Wasn't overly excited by this. The goal was to be able to have a smooth face in half the time. Unrealistic goal. Battery life is good and it's super helpful to have. But it's so slow!!! You end up going over the same area 8-10 times. You cannot miss a single shave either, otherwise it struggles and takes even more passes. Ended up just using a razor most the time. Current status: Using a disposable wet razor.

Review edited May 2024 from ***** to * Jan 24: Long time Philips shaver user but after a faulty Philips 9000, tried a Remington and it's great. Swivel heads as well as the whole head pivoting, decent shave, decent battery life and USB A charger (USB A at one end, bespoke connector into the shaver). May 24: it's dead. Won't turn on, won't charge. Phone number on Amazon support page is wrong and there's a 5 working day response offered to online tickets. It's an electric shaver, does anyone have a spare in case these situations arise? Need to go and buy something cheap while I await a reply from Remington. Another brand on my no-go list.

My usual Philishave cracked up 2 days after the warranty ran out, and I decided to try the very cheap chinese alternatives for a tenth of the price, the first one failed after a few days and was replaced, the second started literally falling to bits after a couple of months and I was worried about blocking up the basin drain. I went for this Remington which one could call quality chinese, so far its very good. It shaves well and I like the power ball. The battery life is brilliant after the cheap ones it really lasts at least 60 minutes, 15 days, the cheap ones claimed 60 but only went for 30 minutes. Value for money is ok its between the very costly philishaves and the cheap ones and so farvquality seems excellent.

My husband is very happy with this shaver, gives a good cut nice bag with it and extra bits click on and off easily
